This is very cool of you! I still find it difficult to believe that Pulse brings in such a premium price, but I think it is great thing that is being used for a good cause!

Hey guys, I decided to relist this item. It didn't look like the price was picking up, and I'm new at eBay, so that worried me. I don't know if this is discouraged or not, but if it is, I apologize. I'm not okay with selling this set knowing that little to no money was raised for Destiny. Hopefully this time the lower starting price ramps up some more bids. Hope you guys understand. Thanks!

eBay auctions are like that.  Don't be surprised if there is still no movement.  No one wants to run up the price early if they can help it.  The last set sold for a grand though.  Don't sweat it.  I know plenty are interested in it.  I also know most of them won't mind throwing more at it than usual since it is for charity.  Just let it ride.  Set a minimum if you feel worried about not making enough.

It is a different world than forum selling.  'Look at this awesome thing I'm going to get for $10 in a few minutes!!'  *auction ends at $78*  'DA FUQ"

I think another difference is Hoff put in the title of the thread it was for charity. If you're scanning through the forum and you just see "Complete Pulse Set", that might give a different impression than "Complete Pulse Set - Proceed to Charity".

I think I have about 60 feedback or so? I do know someone posted mine to reddit pretty quick too, which always gets a ton more visibility. And as CPT said, it was also in the title.

8 watching looks pretty promising, i have a decent reserve set so I'm not in a rush to sell this at all if the listing doesn't go as planned. I'm sure it will blow up eventually :)

Well it's not in line with recent sales but it's certainly more than I would pay for any SP keyset.

Still wasn't even near the price the last one sold for. I've seen base sets sell for 300 alone, and a pulse set with significantly less child deals sold for 550+ just the other day.

How come it goes for so much? Low production?

Creator didn't want PMK to produce any more sets after the first run because he wanted it to be "exclusive"

Yeah, but even the price on there has dropped. User recently bought a set for $250. https://www.reddit.com/r/mechmarket/comments/3qvbay/us_ca_h_pulse_keyset_extras_w_paypal/cwj0zcs

Something to think about: Rumor is that SP is about to remake a bunch of SA sets. I don't know if Pulse is safe from the second rounds. You better try and get the sale done and take what you can get before they redo the sets. Otherwise your value will tank and you'll be relying solely on good will.

Yeah I think that policy overrides what MiTo wants. As far as I know, SP's new policy is that the idea of the set is theirs now to do as they wish. They'll pay you but it's up to them if they want to run another set. I could be wrong but that's how I understand it which is why I posted that.

My thoughts exactly, here's hoping it doesn't harm/damage the community through sheer greed of turning a profit.

i.e. More mediocre sets flood the market in hopes of making a cut from SP

Sorry not trying to derail the thread here :)

I mean SP can do what they want ultimately but I think that is only for sets going forward as the designer has to sign an agreement stating such terms.

Yeah they are going to go back and make R4 shift keys, that is entirely different than re-releasing full sets.

I haven't been up to date on the recent happenings, but if the organizers had any sort of formal agreement that the set would only be run once, then SP really can't go back on that.  This is of course assuming that the agreement was indeed formal and not just idle threats from MiTo.  :P

I'd assume they're just running the proper shifts for these sets (again, not up to date on this yet).
