Yeah I kinda expected that as they presumably have to do the whole thing over.
Ah well, at least we caught this before shipping. That would have been a huge mess. This set is unique enough that I don’t mind waiting a bit longer.

That's an extremely optimistic time frame.

End of July + 45-60 day delay is not 'early September'. Hopefully they will be shipped before October. But we'll see.

I've just received the colour samples and they look even better than WS1 because they've managed to knock out even more of the peachy tone so they are bright and creamy.
They aren't dyesubbed so I'd like to see how much bleed there is with this colour.

WOWZERz this new sample looks exquisite.

I must applaud your choice to chase perfection.

I am hopeful for a great dye-sub, but given the inherent color of the key cap sample. I am less wary of fuzzy legends.

My imagination is hopping for the black to be a wonderful deep black. The sorts of black, like the deep stretches of the night where not a light is to be found, but in the distance there is still hope for that light.


But to be truthful, you could hand draw some legends and I would still take them. Because that new sample already looks great!!!!

Back in March, I had sent colour swatches for EPBT to colour match to and the samples arrived in April. I told KBDfans that it was too red and that to get a better idea of the hue, you need to look at the back of the keycaps rather than the top.
They agreed and asked if they could approve the next round of samples. I obliged because I thought it would be a simple task since they just needed to make a colour halfway between the first and second samples (brightness similar to the second sample but in a more neutral hue like the first sample) and I thought we were on the same page and also they knew from the beginning what my aims were.

This was my mistake and the third sample which got the green light by KBDfans went into production. I received the samples this week and I noticed that they looked really warm so I compared them to the colour samples that I received in April and found that they were virtually the same so I alerted KBDfans who put a stop on the production in order for us to re-confirm the colour again.

I'm sorry about the inconvenience this causes but I believe that getting a better product is worth the extra delays.

Maybe waiting was ok after all, I like the new white a lot more

Happy with the new sample, looks only slightly cooler than WS1 and I might actually prefer that. Hope it will ship soon.

It is hard to tell from the picture, but I see that the reverse dyesub esc cap is not perfect. I got the feeling that during printing the ink bleeds somewat inside of the letters making them thinner as the letters on the normal.caps.

Plus there is the optical illusion when printing the exact same letter on white with black and then reversed, the reversed print looks always as the letters were thinner.

Sorry for my English, hope it is clear what I mean.

Otherwise I really are looking forward to get the set. Hope there will be not a huge delay.

Zoomed in real tight on the sample you mentioned and the Escape key looks fine to me with the reverse dye sub. I think it's mostly an optical illusion and need for a higher quality photo to really see the comparison of "thinness" of the letters.

If anything the Enter key looked to have thin legends when I zoomed in like crazy to the point where the quality of the photo was piss poor.

Overall, it's probably fine and just a combination of the reverse colored caps next to each other and photo quality. No need to delay any further.

The lettering looked thin to me. Especially compared to the black font on the white caps. Doesn't change the fact that they are a dark Navy instead of a pure black. I'm okay with more delays to get it perfect.
