Keyboard Keycaps / Recommend a Keycap Set
« Last post by bagger on Tue, 14 May 2024, 03:40:20 »Hello! I’ve recently gotten into the Hobby and I’ve bought some aftermarket keyboards that don’t have keycaps. I have little eye for aesthetics so I’m more than happy to look at any type of keycaps, no preferences. So I’d love to get y’all’s recommendations! Suggest me a keycap set! (Links would be nice but if not /shrug).

When I press M it outputs "nm". But when I hold the M key, it only outputs "m".
So the "n" comes in on the upstroke it seems. Same with other keys.

« Last post by nostyle_au on Tue, 14 May 2024, 02:10:13 »I wonder if it would be possible to give this set the Greg treatment, to shape out a pair of goggles amid the yellow alphas. I think it would be more on brand for a playful theme like the Minions. It could be bundled with the yellow mods.
I did try playing around with this idea as it was the first thing that came to mind, unfortunately it just didn't really look good no matter what layout I attempted. The row stagger on keyboards really doesn't lend itself to a goggle shape.

I connected the teensy 2.0 like described in the guide above and flashed the bigfoot.sc on the teensy with the 1.20 beta4 version.
I mostly get 2 or 0 characters per key press.
I played around with the soarer settings like scanrate a bit but no change.
Any suggestions?

I'm sure folks buying hotswap at extra cost wouldn't mind the added cost for num/scroll/capslock indicators even in cool white.
Nvm I took a closer peep at proto pcb heh.
the hotswap PCBs will have SMD LED's pre-installed for indicator keys.
