but remember the open bolt semi auto macs are as close to a machine gun as you will get without buying one
they are very simple to "modify" if ever need be

I thought open bolt were considered machine guns by ATF, regardless if it is semi-auto.

nope pre ban open bolt macs are in a grey area
yes it is true they were banned for manufacture by the batf but older models such as the rpb and ingram open bolts are legal to own as long as they were made before batf told rpb to stop making them
they genarally sell @ a premium in the 1200-1500$ range
but unlike many other submachinegun clones these are machine-guns that are made to shoot semi as opposed to a semi auto gun made to look like a machine gun

Why do people have a daily carry gun? What the hell do you do for a living?

Sometimes you just want to be safe? That odd one in a millionth time you actually have a gun on you when you need it, is going to save your, or someone you love's life, is beyond worth it. Hell, even if they didnt share that particular reasoning (though I have no idea who wouldnt value their life/safety!) It's their right, so long as they have the proper documentation/license. Just as is the right of everyone here to place a retarded value on keycaps, most notable CC skulls! Haha If someone wants to do something, and they're well within their rights, sometimes they just do it, because they want to! Im actually working on my concealed carry license as we speak! Although, I'm going to need a more concealable weapon, as my two pistols are a .45 cal 1975 Colt Single Action Army with a 7 1/2 inch barrel and a 5 1/2 inch S&W .357 given to me by my Dad xD Pics to come!

I purchased a Springfield XD about 3 weeks ago and now I am hooked. I think this is more addicting than keyboards. I have a question for you guys. Which one of these would you select and why, CZ-USA P07 Duty, Sig P226, or FNH FNX-9? Let me know what you think because these are three of the guns I'm looking at purchasing next. I don't have money to buy all three so I can only afford to get one but let me know what you guys think.

I vote for CZ P07. Almost got a threaded barrel version but that would mean I will have too many 9mm.

Since you have a polymmer XD then I would recommend a Sig P226...nothing like a nice all metal handgun especially a sig.

I went to my local gander mountain and looked at some Sigs today and I found two that I really liked. The P226 and P2022 both in 9mm. I love the way they feel in my hand and also the weight of them. I think the weight will also help calm down some of the muzzle flip. The only thing stopping me from buying one is the price tag :(

I don't like to buy from stores - price hike, tax, everybody already played with your gun if it's the only one left.

No, that is the first time that I have heard of it. I will have to look into that but I have been reading that the P226 had problems with the trigger pull. I was wondering if anyone who has one of these could make this statement true or false.

Thanks for the tip I will take a look at that site.

The 2022 goes on sale for a reasonable price. You could get one a couple weeks back from (I think) Palmetto State Armory for like, $350.
Risen from the dead for a model F.

Wyse buy colors were GSY for the dark grey, GBA for the light grey, and BBI for the fonts.

I've heard that red dots are supposed to make you shoot faster and maybe more accurate than iron sights. That's why most pros in the Open class use them. I would never put a big scope like that on a pistol. But I plan to put a red dot and a compensator on it just to play around with.

I'm in the same boat, But i'd like to get one just to develop my skill with firearms because in the right situations it could be a very useful skill to have. Plus it seems like fun.
Also from a collector's standpoint, it can be very lucrative for both you or your descendants. Some FAMAS are going for $10,000 and rising.

For now I'm just going under the excuse: target shooting.

Nice!! One of these days I will get a revolver. I have to get a .45 semi-auto first. I like 1911s but don't want to deal with safety. So Sig P220 seems like a good alternative. It's 8 rounds, single stack, DA/SA, about the same size as a 1911.

i guess i just found this thread

sig p226 elite dark w/ 13.5x1 lhm threading, silencerco osprey 9

only taken it out to shoot once in the past four months i've had the pair ;{

edit: another nod for grabagun, picked this up from them, cheaper than anyone else and shipped super fast.  as far as the trigger, get the sig short reset trigger; this model came with one, but they're relatively inexpensive if you happen to pick up one without.  magazine release is perfect and i couldn't ask for a better fit in my hands, personally.

if anyone happens to live in the central VA area feel free to drag me out to some place i don't have to pay 5000 dollars an hour to shoot =/

Welcome to GH Gun Club. Nice P226!! Can you see the target over the suppressor? I thought that the sights have to be higher like this CZ P07.

Grabagun is pretty fast. Ordered my Ruger MKIII Wednesday night and it's scheduled to deliver on Saturday - now that's fast!!

the sights on that model are sig nightsights which seem to be slightly higher than normal, so they're pretty much level with the top of the can; the design of the osprey helps, too.  the angle of the picture doesn't show that very clearly, but some slightly taller ones would be nice, probably.  didn't have any trouble staying on target at shooting range distances, though.

Always jealous of those in states that can own a suppressor  :(

Nice P226 ( always loved the elite dark since it has all the bells and whisltes - beavertail, target sites, aluminum grip, SRT)... that suppressor is just icying on the cake.

P.S - another recommendation for Grabagun... usually the best pricing online, great service, cheap shipping and no CC fees ( I hate sending money orders).

BudsGun shop has pretty good pricing also since I think they do volume also but most of the stuff they sell they wont ship to Cali anyways

I never really got the whole "french are cowards" thing. If you look at the simple record of victory/defeat, the french certainly have a better track record than most countries and always have been a main world power.

I never really got the whole "french are cowards" thing. If you look at the simple record of victory/defeat, the french certainly have a better track record than most countries and always have been a main world power.

As Archer says "So the next time you're feeling adventurous, walk into a bar in Algiers and call a Legionnaire a putain de merde"

LoL - French specops are no jokes.
But is there any country (Vatican excluded) with lame SpecOps?
