With the recent availability of 6u cherry spacebars from gmk buys, have people been able to place them on novatouched boards without issues or does it still need drilling?

Hey everyone - just wanted to say that you all have some awesome boards.  Here's my Thai language HHKB that I had custom dye-subbed by DecentKeyboards from etsy.

(Attachment Link)

Wow, very unique!

How did you get to install these keys? Did you have to modify your Topre switch to Cherry MX? If so, how? Thanks!

You can get plain gold from Taobao, but those fancy ones with the red line I have no idea.

I think they came from a GB from a while back. The recent group buy on mm was from a different guy so no red line.

Put in Purple sliders a couple of weeks ago. I have an 87u on the way to dome harvest for this.

seriously, I prefer the more stealth look of the original badge - much more classy, but it's the same old adage, the more you can't have it....

I think romevi was disgusted by the MX caps on an HHKB, in which case I agree with him. Cherry profile does not belong on topre and looks weird on an HHKB.

Yeah it was taken just after doing the conversion.

I am waiting on my SA profile caps for it. I could put Calm Depths on there, but need to drill the case. My husband seems to have misplaced my entire CarbonSA set as he decided he needed the box and displaced the caps to the abyss...

Get ready for some wobbly keys. There's a reason Hi-pro Topre boards have a taller top section of the switch module.

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with how Cherry profile looks but for some reason it just looks wrong on HHKBs.

Cherry profile on a GON HHKB and OEM Topre (+ artisan blanks) on an HHKB.

Hasu usb controller (no BT), a couple of DWI Jacks (topre), Cosmic Cluster (blue), Cosmic Custom (maroon/black), custom cable.

When I first got this board I couldn't get it work with the stock controller/stock cable. Now that I have the Hasu controller and a custom cable (from 90N1NE) it works great.

I'm still experimenting with blanks and blank sets. Leaning toward maroon/black but I'm seeing some great green sets. Not the colorway I was working toward but man...dat green.
