Things you did not want to learn...
« on: Fri, 22 August 2008, 14:44:17 »
I had just prepared two keyboards for the dish washer, keycaps in the cutlery basket and all when I realized there were no more dishwasher tabs. And shops were closed.

Well, a quick search on Google showed that it seems to be common knowledge, but I did not know that you must not use dishwashing liquid instead.

After a while the dishwasher didn't make its usual washing noise. I opened the door and found tons of foam . I had to take it out all by hand. Several times.

Now it seems to do its job again. I hope. I should just check it once more.

Hey...I did that once.  ONCE.  Took the dishwasher out of commission for about a week.  =-D

I had that happen once to me as well.  Suds were coming out of the dishwasher (forced past the seal).  I used them to wash down the counter and mop the floor.

Actually worked out pretty well.  :)

This is the offtopic forum, so...

I didn't want to learn that, even if you have no plans of engaging the clutch, selecting 1st gear at 40 MPH makes the clutch spin much, much faster than it's designed to spin. 8000 RPM makes a VW diesel clutch go *boom*.
