As a watchmaker I tend to mostly use bench drill presses of 2 sizes, large and small, for most tasks. German made industrial machines from the 60s to 80s. They look something like this (not actually mine, pic from the internet):



Modern makes cant compare in terms of tolerances and reliability, unless you spend a fortune.

For handheld ones I use Hilti.

In watchmaking we often cant use power drills, or it simply isnt practical. For small parts we usually use a lathe together with a drill tailstock. Sometimes we also use a pin vice with a drill bit, a file or a reamer.

Only drill I've ever used / needed to use are those cheap ones you can buy at your local hardware store.

For cordless I normally use either a DeWalt or Makita, Air  I go w/ my Snap-On, Corded would be a Hilti.  just depends on what I'm doing and if I'm at the shop (for my air tools).

after seeing AvE's video on them i bought an ikea drill, because they are rather decent and uses rather simple 18650 lithium batteries, and it has not failed me yet. the cheap drill bits i bought did though.
