Any audio of cherry mx green?

I am interested in trying a cherry mx green but i want to hear what it sounds like. Can anyone here post an audio or video link to how it sounds? Thanks.

It sounds almost identical to a Cherry blue.  However I don't have one at hand to record for you.

Not really for me. MX Blues produce a much higher pitched click probably because of the force one exerts through the actuation point since the spring is so light. For MX Green, I get a gentler, deeper clunk.

Yes, they require a lot more force than Blues (~50 cN) and Blacks (~60 cN); MX Greens are rated at 80 cN for actuation. Great for high accuracy typing, bad for gaming (which is ironic that CM markets their Green board as a gaming keyboard, but it's still a nice keyboard).

If Blacks are too much for you, you won't want Greens.

It's a tad more muted than cherry mx blues.  Still one of the louder cherry switches.

I doubt this number is accurate. It's probably the force at the bottom of the keys travel. I did a very rough test with my mx whites and they actuated around 55-60g. I can't imagine mx greens would be that much heavier than whites.

Well, 80 cN is what Cherry has on their official spec sheet. Ripster has done lots of tests and produced these experimentally determined numbers: http://imgur.com/a/RJqM4#1

All Cherry estimates are at point of actuation, 2 mm into spring compression (4 mm = bottom out). As a side note, "Korean" springs reference force required to fully compress, which is why 62g isn't roughly the same as a Cherry spring used in a 60 cN actuation switch. (1 g = 0.981 cN according to Ripster)

It appears the 80cN number is the peak force. Stacking milk bag land nickels on a switch before it gives results in 80g +/- a gram or two. The force at actuation should be lower than this number, then.

Yeah I haven't tested it myself. That's what Cherry reports, and it's obvious across several switches that the actual actuation number isn't what they report.
