My IBM Model M has green lettering on the Alt keys. Never noticed that before. So not only did I get a great keyboard for a good price, I also got custom keys. :)

EDIT: Oh wait, is that? Yes, another one with green lettering on the interwebs. I am not unique. :( Actually, it seems to be a standard feature. Sigh.

Oh well, excuse to take pictures of my M. :)

Mine seems to be just a standard gray label M. Oh well; still a joy to type on.

Here is my Model M, in pride of place at my secondary computer in my workshop.

An old keyboard deserves an old computer, so my secondary computer is an old Athlon XP system. It's currently down for the count until I replace the power supply (note the DMM).

I enjoy looking at quality hardware.

Got a problem with that?

Green ALT. Ugh, I can see stuff under the keys. Need to pick up a 5.5mm driver.

Please disregard the product placement, I'm only being paid $500k--I mean $1.00 to put that in there.

You can't see the choir of angels from this angle, but they're there.

Love that gray label.

Dual-keycap design: necessary? No. Awesome? Yes. Thank you, IBM.

Buckling springs speak for themselves. They say, "CLICK" *piiiinnngg*

Yay for detachable--hey wait a second. Aw, pencil marks. What does that say, "Sara"? Probably the same person who wrote "save for me" on the front, but I cleaned that off with alky the day I got it. This must have missed my attention.

Emmy needs a bath.

My cable is better than your cable!!!!!!!

I wonder why they have that vent there. Do Model Ms get hot or something?

Proof of legit-ness.

Yeah, yeah, seen it a million times, move a long. :p Good find for $20 shipped though, eh?

Ah, right, I remember hearing something about that now. Makes sense, in a way.

I mean it makes sense in the, "Oh **** Apple is beating the crap out of us, quick let's reduce costs" sort of way.

Is it a good thing or a bad thing when your cost-reduced keyboard still costs $500 (after inflation)?
