The black looks good with any color esc key.  That is pretty weak for a special edition 'board.

I like this better.  :)

In Japan, traffic lights are red for stop - and blue for go. Also, I remember an advertisement for a brand of photographic film that not only noted that it did well with subtle shades of blue, but that the color blue is important to the Japanese people.

So there may be a profound cultural reason for this preference.

I like the blue.  I would go for an all-navy blue keyboard.  Royal blue sucks, though.

What do you think of this shade of blue?

(...not HHKB, but we were talking about blue.)

Too light.  I like a darker, more grey-blue.  Something like #001933.  It wouldn't be good for a single key probably, but a whole 'board would look pretty sweet, though.

I'd get a HHKB if they added Blue Windows Keys.

Why the hell [blue key] so effin blurry?  Special time and space shifting esc key.  One would kinda hope that a special edition would be more special, maybe even super chilled yummy sake special.  I like platinum or purple esc keys, personally.

Looks like HHKB prefer a blue esc to the legendary red esc key

Thats interesting as I am using a blue esc key on my keyboard (blue skull on cherry blue filco). It just seemed right =)

I would have to agree, and that board in your pic is very interesting.

to quadibloc-
Thanks for all that interesting info!  With the exception of the film I was unaware of any of that. Perhaps it is of some greater significance.

to washuai-
I was thinking the same thing! Whats with the blurrrrrrr???
