Here are some attempts at photographing my daily driver:

I'm happy about this picture even though it does not have the swag of Vesper's shots. (Second thought: it looks a bit blurry don't you think?)

Having fun with some bokeh. I would have prefer to have the focus on the front of the board but if I do it ****s up the exposition and I ended up with something too shiny. Perhaps there was some settings I could have use to minimize it.

EDIT: I have a hard time having a good natural light in my apartment as there are others in front of my window that prevent the sunlight to come in. I may have to use some ghetto lightbox I see around. What do you guys use to make one?

I don't know what I'm doing with a camera or photography software.  So, so lost.

The issue -  The whitish spot on the side is a very faint yellow in the middle.  I'm not sure if it's noticeable in the pic but in person you can at least differentiate it from the surrounding white

Even though it's not a 100% match, I would keep it.  Who knows if you'll have a harder time finding it again in the future.

But that's just my opinion  ;D

Infinity with HHKB layout in a Tex aluminum case. Dell AT101W alphas. I still need a HHKB sized spacebar to get the bottom row right. I might mod this one if I get the time. I'm also considering making some switch blockers or maybe just getting silver vinyl to clean it up.

Taobao Olivette alphas. No HHKB spacebar support so funky bottom row again.

hhkb is 6u, and so is the infinity hacker layout, problem is that the infinity wants 6u with a centered stem, i'm in kind of the same boat, though i just use 6.25u spacebar with 1.25u mods.

y/n

should i settle or keep looking for that perfect match? i need a better backdrop :X

The color is gorgeous, that's a reference for blue!

I don't know what I'm doing with a camera or photography software.  So, so lost.

The issue -  The whitish spot on the side is a very faint yellow in the middle.  I'm not sure if it's noticeable in the pic but in person you can at least differentiate it from the surrounding white

Is that a TX1800?

The cable was from Amazon, although it seems to be unavailable at time, but maybe that's enough to to find it elsewhere: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0098I8QYW/ .  The plate is from a GB that LeandreN ran: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=73666.0

That's very nice :)

Need a purple cable now ...
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
