Just realizing that I didn't post those pics on GH:

Hammer case (with some wool felt inside), FaceU PCB, lubed Cherry MX black with 62g springs, dye-sublimated OG Cherry caps, SIP sockets, alu plate, Pexon cable (double sleeving).

Typing sound :

23h18 - photekq: hhkb with silenced realforce sliders and lubricated well is
23h18 - photekq: the best switch i've used

Nice caps. The mad face in this language layout is always very cool to look at.

What board is that? It has an odd layout. Why have a numpad with no 0? Or is it mapped to the right windows key?  :-\

It's an RS96, basically a Chinese lightsaver.

I'd guess the 0 is mapped to the right of the arrows. So where the yellow win key is.

As someone with mostly non standard layouts I understand this problem quite well. :))

Hehe :) Some layouts just make more sense. Getting a cap print to match it is almost always a lost battle :p

Yeah, Pexon's cables are reeeaaally nice, even if that's expensive for "just a cable".

My first haul! Finally getting stuff in the mail so it's time to share. Here's the full album: https://imgur.com/gallery/JR67j/

I'm not much of a photographer but a friend let me borrow a camera and I made a lightbox out of some old cardboard and white sheets. Here's some shots of my first Bro Caps, Nubbinator Caps, new Pok3r, and custom USB Cable (for when Danger Zone arrives):

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I finally just broke down and bought this box like 2 weeks ago. I had a homemade one for a while, but it was more hassle than it was worth. LivingSpeedBump posted the link to the one I got.

Yep! Nailed it! The lights are kinda cheap and get REALLY hot, but they serve their purpose. The box is great though and folds down nicely.

Yeah for the price you really can't go wrong. I'm not a huge fan of the colored drapes for the back/bottom that came with it (with cats and a beard there is always a stray hair on it...) so I covered a cheap card table with white vinyl wrap that can be easily cleaned or use the acrylic platter from my TT for the bottom haha. For the price you cant beat it, and the fact it folds up in about 5 seconds is awesome.

Thanks you two! I'm trying to figure out how to get decent photos without shelling out thousands of dollars (keyboards are killing me as it is). The collapsible feature is DEFINITELY what I had been missing...I just have this huge box taking up an entire desk at home and it looks quite unattractive!

It's been a while since I did a photo shoot. Here's a quick one I took today of my freshly built Viper with 65g lubed zealios. :D

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I'm going to watch this for the next hour

Need to turn it into an animated wallpaper, for operating systems that support such tomfoolery!
