These are the boards I'm currently using in rotation. I've got a couple more stuffed in the back of my closet but those are all just collecting dust. The SSK is not being used atm cause I need to wait for a controller to be delivered.

Orion v2(65g Tactile Zealios) - HHKB Pro 2(45g Dental Banded) - TGR-Proto(Gateron Clears) - IBM SSK(Buckling Spring) - Realforce 87u(55g Topre) - Poker2(MX Blues) - JD40(Vintage Blacks) - Custom 52%(Vintage Blacks)

Wow, great collection Pemdas!  :D

Didn't notice it until you mentioned it, but yeah.  The spacebar almost looks metal in the pic with the reflections and shadows.  Cool stuff.

That's neat! :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

So, being in Europe I had the chance to get my GH60 already. Which was then lost during shipping from Bunny to me... but he was nice enough to provide a new one which promptly arrived last week.
Finally a use for the huge pile of parts ready and waiting that I had collected over the years:

  • Cherry Red: stickered, 55g gold springs
  • Cherry/GMK keys: single keys from two old Cherry boards plus a modern ANSI run with o-rings.
  • case and plate by Hammer, 1380g total as pictured.
It follows the HHKB layout, with additional toggles for Caps/Ctrl and a Poker like arrow cluster.

Now that I have this ultra soft, silent and linear board as well as a Zealio switch one it feels like I've seen all this swtich type has to offer. Still curious as to what I will think about them after using it for a while.

(imgur album)

TODO
  • Red LEDs to indicate active Ctrl<>Caps toggle as well as the optional arrow cluster in the lower right.
  • find an ANSI short right shift.

So here we have a board out with the Canadian Multilingual layout and a split backspace. The legends actually don't exist, but with a bit of trading I managed to get each of the funky keys kinda correct. For example the dedicated Ù has to be a Ü. And the è, é and à keys are in the right place just they have extra extra legends on the keys.

Yes, it's from the portuguese G80-5000. That's also why the right shift is labeled in symbols instead of symbols + text.
Additionally portuguese has a 1u backslash R4 key (the tabs, up arrow and backslash are sourced from other boards, actually)

For the love of god, I need one of these canvas sleeves for my 1800HAD
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

A little tip though, your ISO is rather high. On Flickr it says it's 1100, I'd set to to 100 if you can if not 200. :thumb:

Yea, I am noticing this across the board with my photos (it's at least over 400 for each photo). I am slowly but surely trying to get better :) . Thank you! Hopefully I set up a functioning light box this week; only have the lights so far (but need the box setup itself)

Do you have a tripod? I see that you shot at 1/60 of a second so I'm assuming you're handheld.

I do. It wasn't used for that, but I should probably use it in the future...and yep, this was handheld.

Well sometimes you just don't wanna take out the tripod since it can be a pain to setup(I'm hella guilty of that).  Still that's how you'd go about lowering the iso effectively for tabletop photos that steezus suggested before.

I'm sure you weren't looking for maximal sharpness or anything like that though.  The effect looks great.  Sort of gives me an old video game vibe from the nes days.

Ducky Legend + Carbon

Anyone here who knows how to make use of a speedlite to make the pictures look natural in low-light situations?
I have been depending on natural lighting for most of my photos.

Very nice pictures! What board is that by the way, don't see too many aluminum full sizes nowadays.

Thanks! That's a Ducky Legend and only the top case plate is aluminum.
I would love to have a full aluminum keyboard, but those are out of my budget.

Oh yeah I forgot about a Ducky Legend, it looks really good from that aerial view. Save up some and treat yourself one of these times, ever since I went full aluminum I can't go back. ;)
