My roommate is already throwing all the windows open. God damn, I hate open windows.
It invites huge amounts of dust in, that I inevitably will have to clean off all my ****. There is a constant stream of strangers walking by at ground level peering in and invading my privacy. Also inviting possible thieves, as he has his PS5 literally right next to the window, anyone could just push out the screen and grab it. Plus the angle forces to sunlight directly onto my video games on the bookshelf, which is the only valuable things I own, as I watch them slowly get sun-bleached.
It is literally like a compulsion with him opening the blinds and windows, first thing he does every day, knowing I hate them being open at all. No matter the weather, how dreary, sunny, rainy, smokey, he HAS to crank every window in the house open every single day. Then he goes into his bedroom with the door closed all day not 'enjoying' any of the sun, and forgets to close them so they remain open regularly until 10-11pm.

ok, done with my rant. I just had to say it somewhere, it has been festering in me for years.

Watching X-Men '97
It is pretty good for nostalgic factors. The animation is 'samey' but obviously better that its predecessor via the lens of modern techniques and a bigger budget. They really leave in all the boring bits though. Where as the kids show would cut out a character waxing narrative for literally 12 mins straight, '97 says **** it, leave it all in!
I do really like how it picks up RIGHT where the show left off with what I consider a big shift in narrative design for many Marvel series right around the early '90s where stories started to involve different timelines and such.

Keyboards / Re: How hard do you all type?

Depends on my board. My home board with SA keycaps and Zealios I beat the piss out of. I am not sure why but it feels like I press very hard and loud. Maybe intentional since I enjoy the sound.

At work I use Alps Damped Creams and I don't feel like I press hard on them, very quiet.

Tried some OC, +60mhz on gpu. That's pretty gud'.

For a gaming laptop, this is a pretty interesting mod. The benefit speaks for itself,  but definitely wait for the coolers to come down to $50 ish.  Or DIY like Tp4.

The IETS version has a little filter paper in its intake, it's something to think about since increasing airflow means increased dust ingress.  The filter media size is extremely tiny though, and full of holes around itself, not sure how good that seal is.

DIY using air purifier guarantees good seal and absolutely pristine air. Large impeller means lower rpm, higher air pressure, and almost no noise.

The desktop chillers are noisy beasts.
