These will be made by imsto, yes?
Please refer to the following thread: http://65.111.241.205/index.php?topic=40637.0  ;)

So, kinda.. just not directly made by him. Others might be able to answer you best, but as far as I know KBC is the actual brand.

The link has the potential to be a little misleading as both sets (different legends) being discussed throughout the thread are sold by Imsto. The only thing relevant to the original question would be Ivan's & Feng's first posts. Oh and your statements are correct, but I believe Imsto is actually connected to or a part of KBC.

Two questions:

* The Starcraft / Diablo sets in their entirety are $75, correct?

* Are there any photos of already existing keys in that blue or gray color that I could refer to?  Doesn't have to be the exact lettering--only interested in the plastic.  Having difficulties imagining how light or dark these will end up.
I'd like confirmation on the novelty set price please. I don't see why it'd be different but just want to be sure.

I have been wanting a classic 2 tone beige or white beige for a few months. And 95 on Sherryton's site is bullsnap.

I will need mock ups before I throw money. I can't seem to visualize what Miami will look like.

i wanna see a mock up for that set as well..

sherry's 95 seems bad, but you are getting that thick DS set + 1.5 mods + numpad ... so it's not all that bad

Yep this baby is currently working in one of my G80-3000 boards.  Superb feeling to the keys like the original set when first produced all those years ago.

Personally the BEST $95.00 spent on a key set that looks and feels so good  ;) .

Although I am still in with Lysol's Group Buy here, simply because of the wealth of coloured fonts available within the PBT material, which is very nice.

I'm still in for the buy also, but I did just order the DS classics as well.  Your post, along with the picture on the site, convinced me to do so.  Stupid keyboard hobby.  Oh, well.  So far it is less expensive then building new computers all the time... though, I'm building new computer next month.  My wife is going to kill me :)

Some very unofficial mock-ups for the US ANSI sets (I don't have the int'l/cyrillic/etc. legends, so I can't really do mock-ups for those sets) - the shades of red and beige used in my mock-ups are based on my best guess, and I think Ivan is planning to use the Win8 logo instead of classic windows.  Also, positioning of the legends themselves may be off a bit, and I'm not sure if the "~`" and "\|" keycaps will be beige or white - other than those caveats, these *should* be pretty close:

black on white/beige:

red on white/beige:

hollow black on white/beige:

Putting together the base templates for these mock-ups is a ton of work, btw - positioning each legend just right is a PITA.

Hollow text is very interesting, I thought I was dead set on black.

I like the hollow text for the larger letters, like letters and number pad. But when the text of the legend gets smaller, such as on the mods, it doesn't look as good, IMO. Maybe hollow on those and black on mods?

Interested. Anyone knows where to find a Cherry style PBT ISO-Enter that could fit this set? Doesn't need ot be Dyesubbed, can be blank. Else I would just take a ABS one from the other sets.

I will make a separate form for the novelty/single keys once I finish with it. The options you see are what there is. Will consider doing repeats from first round next time.

maybe this?

I just put in another order, please add it to my previous one.

I was looking in the order form for the "Specialty Keys" aka......Coloured Cherry's and Windows 95 but alas no mention.

PLEASE provide the order form for it soon, very interested in buying some to add to the key-set orders.

Do you mean this?

"Starcraft II themed set black on all blue keycaps - US - ANSI"

That's from the original post, under the Starcraft set image.  It's blue with black lettering only.

Same color keycap the sets are in, so like you know, they match and stuff.

Oh I've just noticed this post and realized I had a question about it.  Does it mean that the novelty keys (or at least some of the designs) will be available in blue and gray to match the SC / Diablo sets?  Or only white / beige?  I can see dye sublimation being a bit of an issue on darker backgrounds, bit it could end up looking interesting.

I'm definitely ordering at least one set (Starcraft, Diablo, or the White/Beige with red US font)--just waiting to see any sample photos.  Esp. of the blue and gray sets.  Kinda wish the Starcraft legend were available on gray too: such thick well-defined font!

My guess is that the [dark] gray and blue of the Diablo / Starcraft sets are identical to the IMSTO gray and blue, since those are the colors that have been in use for thick PBT caps for a while, and even Ducky is picking them up for their upcoming keycaps.  Not sure what the beige is like exactly: how light or dark it will be.  If it's the standard beige, probably fairly light.

*Need some more unusual colors of PBT for dye-sub sets!  Like pale brownish-beige with darker brown modifiers, pale green, pale blue, etc.*

I think this is probably right, although I'd call Imsto gray medium, not dark.

I'm also interested in knowing this, because I want to use 2 1.25 novelty keycaps to substitute the superkeys on my Cherry white/grey G80-3000. It would be great to know if the grey color will match.

Temporarily you could use just a "normal" font for the full mock ups till you have finished all legends. So people have an idea how the full sets will look like.

Temporarily you could use just a "normal" font for the full mock ups till you have finished all legends. So people have an idea how the full sets will look like.

Still unofficial, but I re-did mockups for the red, black and hollow versions based on IvanIvan's pics:

Dianoda, you're awesome!  Could I ask you a favor to draw the keys on a light pink metallic background as well (for the red version).  And I have no idea how difficult the process is, but if you'd rather just give me a bare template, I could work with that too!
