Hi there.
I'm Xonuss and I wanted to create a budget board in a 70% format, as this was a format I hadn't seen much. So that's what I did.

[attach=1][attach=2]

What is it?
The NFR-70 is a 70%, essentially a 60% with a F13 function row, DIY kit based on the ProMicro. Typing angle is gonna be around 6 degree, +/- 1 degree depending on which standoff I decide to use for the feet.

What is it gonna cost?
I'm looking to provide two offerings for this board:

The keyboard kit as is: approx. €45
The kit including an Elite-C v4 microcontroller: approx. €55.

Pricing isn't final, but shouldn't vary too much. Also shipping price TBD.

Layouts
The goal was to support as many layout options as possible, which resulted in maxing out the IO ports of the ProMicro, but I think it's going to be sufficient for most people looking to get a board like this.

Should support the following:
- ANSI
- ISO
- Split right shift
- Split backspace
- Stepped capslock
- Tsangan bottom row

[attach=3]

I wanted to make it possible to use 6.25u bottom row, but also offering split right shift. Therefore the right Alt on 6.25u is running on the same traces as the right Fn key, denoted by the 'int' and slashes (/), as I thought these were the most sensible keys to couple. As such, the board does not support using both at the same time with different mappings.

Firmware
QMK and VIA

What is included?
- PCB for thru-hole components
- Diodes and a Reset Switch
- Top plate
- Bottom plate
- Feet plate
- Screws & Standoffs

Other things
- Prototype has been ordered, pictures will follow.
- I aim towards unlimited GB
- Orders will most likely ship out of Denmark.
- Interest check form can be found here (https://forms.gle/QfvLW4QuwhdtAuSC9).

Very good price for a very interesting layout.
But please enlighten me, what would we be missing if one didn't buy the version with a microcontroller?

Thank you all for showing interest in this kit!

Very good price for a very interesting layout.
But please enlighten me, what would we be missing if one didn't buy the version with a microcontroller?

If you were to get the kit without the microcontroller, you would simply look to get a microcontroller by your own means. Such cases would be if you wanted to add hotswap sockets for a controller you already use in another kit or get another controller yourself, such as the ProMicro or the SeaMicro, as these should also be compatible. Or maybe you just already have an unused controller laying around that you want to use instead.
