Heya folks!
As the BEAK 6.5 is entering production, I wanted to show you our newest offering.

INTRODUCTION
The spectacle is a one-of-a-kind design featuring a soothing curve as its side profile, making it pleasing to look at.
We wanted to take make something eye-catching while keeping the design subtle and gentle.
Taking advantage of the available technology, the Spectacle utilizes 5 axis CNC machining.

We took a lot of notes in terms of critiques people had with our previous launch and tried to incorporate all the requested features

Whether we achieved that is for you to judge

THE CURVE

The soothing curve on the side profile is the main kicker for the Spectacle.
Utilizing 5 axis CNC machining to achieve the look.

As of now it is set to be anodized brass color.
Might do a limited run of brass bottom variants depending on feedback!

Price is decent, plate mounting distribution is nice.

A few gripes however, the sides are a main selling point yet there's no renders of a proper side profile of the keyboard, only slightly in the exploded view of the board. Moreover, 8 internal screw points is rather overkill in a design like this, specially when it's a "seamless" design; could get away with 4 and save a little bit of unnecessary machine time as well as reducing possible points of failure in production.

On top of providing a proper side profile render, one of the bottom would be nice as there isn't one in the post (at least that I can see). Also, you say the front height is 18.9mm but where is this measured from? An effective front height would be nice to have as I assume 18.9 is the height of the front lip.

Finally just a minor concern that you might want to check just in case, make sure to measure the bottom of the screw holes on the lower side of the case bottom to the other side. That part looks awfully thin as it is so it may cause issues down the line if the material at bottom of the screw hole is under 1mm in thickness.

Overall, not really my thing but I appreciate the pricing as well as some elements of the design. GLWIC

It will ship from Denmark yes. ~~The GB will not start until the Beaks have been shipped (unless there are some major delays)~~

It will ship from Denmark yes. The GB will not start until the Beaks have been shipped (unless there are some major delays)

Even with major delays, since you are not using a vendor, for trust within the community I would always wait for beaks to be delivered before starting this one.

Wow, those side views look really really nice. Amazing price point too, love the whole thing. I don't mind the brass-color anodized bottom to achieve that price. GLWIC, can't wait to hear some sound tests.

They will not, as far as I am concerned there are no real positives to machining in Denmark compared to overseas.

Really love the curves and the thick bezels of this board. It kind of has an odd feeling of similarity to the Blade 60 in my opinion, this and the Blade are definitely different but when I see the side profile not straight on it reminds me of the Blade.

I hear you, I am also considering doing an SE version, collaborating with a patina artist to get a special brass look. (This will be an in-stock offering after the GB if it happens)
