Hey guys, I did a quick video on prototyping my Topre mold! Keep in mind that this is not an instructional video, but more of an insight into the time and effort it takes to produce something like this! I hope you enjoy it, and watch it with captions on for some brief commentary.

They are both Topre function keys. As long as you are willing to pay for it, international is fine by me.

These awesome, and I'm so glad to see some new designs floating around. I love the idea of the invaders. Doom has always been a game that scares me though (such a wuss, I know). It's cool you got to meet everyone at Keycon, so jealous.

I hope you continue to work on the DOOM logo and use it as a marker to see how well your production is progressing, but you probably shouldn't sell them, given that it's a brand and a logo, and we all know the problems other people have had here with brands and logo's being stolen.

But gl son, DOOM is one of my all time fav games and brings back many good memories!

Check the OP for attempt 2. It has been set in another oven, but I have made a stunning revelation. I bought these "PBT" from Binge specifically to be able to cook them, and they are in fact ABS despite both of our claims. The oven did get much hotter than normal, but the cap becoming liquid certainly didn't help.

mask caps in topre please, you could do some nice color combos with that type of design

the burnt one looks pretty rad even though it's obviously not how you wanted that to turn out

and here be some pics of the doom fn's that i was fortunate enough to get a hold of:

and of course, the accompanying space invaders

(these will actually be the first non-work-related items i've ever let sit on my desk, they were really a nice bonus to ship with the caps)

as for a short review like i always try to do for the new makers: cap quality is excellent- no cracks, no bubbles, good stems that snap-in, and consistent colors, pretty much all the things you could ask for. so really good caps, with the only negative being the bottoms of the caps/stem are a bit rough (i think this is correctable just by sanding them down some?), but as you can see from my keyboard pic above, that's not something that is visible when the keys are on your board. obviously thicker caps are more desirable, but given how far along you are already doom, that's something that doesn't seem like it'd be an issue for you at all down the road.

I got mine in and I love them. He sent me a teal pentagram and a doubleshot orange Doom cap. Keeping the pentagram for myself because its ****ing metal and giving the other to a friend who is in love with Doom. Really nice IMO. Please keep up your work. I am excited to see what you can do in the future!

I'm so glad you like them. I do agree that the bottoms are a bit rough, but I don't yet have the right tools to clean them up effectively. Especially because the FNs are rather thin. Thanks for the feedback, and hopefully I'll be able to make some non-standard topre caps soon.

Hey Doom,
You got anything left in Topre? I dont even care if its part of the **** up section. I just want a cool keycap to put on my board. I just fell into this keycap stuff a month ago and am still learning where to find em all. My life would probably be easier if i had a mx board.
