I know I am beating a dead horse but look at these old renders of a standard maroon escape and enter key.  Just look at those aestehtics!!! :)

Don’t get me wrong. If enough people wanted it. I’d gladly pay the $2. I just think the mountain will get way more use anyway.

Same... it doesn't have the outdoorsy vibe without the mountains novelty :)

When do you suppose this will take off?
Can't wait to jump in!

I think we are looking at late Dec. or early Jan. it depends on how well the quotation process will run in the next few days.
I'm still considering about that maroon numpad return. This should be the last change we make.

Both colors? Shouldnt add more than $1-2 (?) to price.

Hmm if it really is only $1-2 for the extra key. Would it be the same cost to add an additional  maroon main modifier enter key with the text “enter”

I know we already have the mountain enter key but presumably for a few dollars more it would give more options for people that might want a more simplistic look as well.

That’s my 2 cents anyways.

I think I will add the maroon numpad return, but not the regular one because the cost is already over my expectation.
We can't keep adding keys because they just cost ~$2 per key

Seriously, please don't remove the green numpad return. I get that you don't want the price going up, but that forces anyone with a numpad to use the maroon accents. If you're going to do that you might as well remove the green arrows, remove the green novelty return, and make the regular return maroon too.

Am I the only one who thinks this set looks good without accents?

He already said he is not removing the green numpad enter.

The maroon would just be an addition.

I think the maroon accents are really what makes the set so nice. Otherwise it starts to become reminiscent of a cheap taobao or Tai hao green/white set

Nope. From earlier,

Shall we change the numpad return key to maroon? I don't really wanna add one because I really don't wanna bump up the pricing anymore.

This has probably been asked, but would it be worth splitting novelties into their own pack?

Splitting into kits with GMK will significantly increase the total price because they have a fully automated production line.
This is also the reason why the most GMK sets are all-in-one.

For ppl located in the US:

Beautiful set. Cant wait for GB to start.

I see it as a $140 base with $35 novelties kit combined into one, so price looks good.  :thumb:

I really want to join this, but the price is pretty steep. With shipping to Canada it will be close to $200. A bit hard to swallow compared to recent GMK sets (I know, this won’t have Massdrop volume). Decisions, decisions.

Not just volume, Camping has a huge pack of novelty keys.
All pricing I've been estimating so far is based on 250 MOQ, it won't be much cheaper if this is gonna be on MD as starting point, just we have bigger chance to unlocker higher MOQ tiers.

should be around that price point at 100 MOQ, cheaper if we make it to 250 for the spacebar kit

I think the kit is moreorless finalized now, but the group buy hasn't started yet so you should be able to join the group buy relatively soon when it happens. I don' lt know if there will be a Taiwanese proxy though.

A quick update on this project.
I got sick after spending the Christmas in Cologne, so the whole progress is slowed a little bit down.
But the kits are finalized and we have a finalized quotation from GMK.
The next is to loop all the proxies in my mail chain with GMK.
We are looking at early Jan. 2018 for the GB.
Proxies are listed as below:
US: Kono store by input club
EU: mykeyboards.eu
Asia/Taobao: KP and zfrontier
Korea: Cocobrais

Thanks for all your help and all kinds of suggestions! I wish you all happy holidays, and stay tuned for early Jan. ! ;) ;) ;)
