Spare MX blue switch (.de)
« on: Thu, 03 February 2011, 16:46:47 »
Can anyone (preferably within Germany or at least EU for easy payment) spare me an MX blue switch? I managed to turn a non-clicking one (which would have needed changing at some point anyway) into a non-working one. A used one is not a problem at all, it only needs to operate properly. Ordering a single one seems silly, more shipping costs than anything else.

I might have use for one more, but knowing my soldering skills, I won't be replacing anything that still works.

I currently have someone that *might* buy a set of keys off of one of my g80-1000 HFD boards. If that happens, I can spot you as many switches as you need. Currently, i only have complete boards though :S

It's not extremely urgent, at the moment I'm on the M anyway. Would be nice to get a working RShift again though.

Oh, I wouldn't have a problem with something that is still soldered in either, like from some DIY tenkeyless project or such.

PCB mounted, for a G80.

Sounds like a plan. How much extra would you want for 'em?

Joy.

After a (de)soldering session involving dad's old GDR-made soldering iron (much bigger tip, but also a lot more powerful) and later dad himself (this stuff is kinda hard if you don't really see what you're doing, and I could use some kind of microscope), the board is back in operation, with a functional and rather clicky RShift.

I shouldn't have attempted to solder my nose (brief moment of yikes), but that's another story. ;)

Now where on earth did I misplace my camera bag?! ... Ah. Don't place black camera bags on black loudspeakers...
