But what about the potASSium

The banana you show looks about perfect to me, possibly it could have been better yesterday.
My father would have refused to eat it because he would have said that it was not ripe yet.
-
But that's when bananas start to taste nice D: .

The Spots is when the Bna gets a stronger floral scent..
-
My sister refuses to eat a banana if any part of the skin has the slightest tinge of green.
-
i can actually agree with tp on this
spots, or even ALOT of spots, is the perfect ripeness
but once any of those spots form a mass larger than 2cm, it's too far gone, throw it into some banana bread
-
Did you guys know, strawberry isn't actually a berry?
but a banana is.
Mindblown.

When it gets to perfect spot-ness.. throw it in the fridge.
Then it just turns brown, but without significant ripening on the inside.
Same with avocadoz.
-
are just make banana bread :thumb:
-
TP what do you think about apples with soft spots?
-
Nothing worse than a "too ripe" bananer

Nah, they have to be almost completely brown and look disgusting for perfect banana bread.

TP what do you think about apples with soft spots?
You can eat it as long as the soft spot skin is not broken.
If it's just slightly oxidized, that's fine.. but if it's molded, then that's no good, gotta remove spot.
-
i took a bite of apple yesterday, it was like it was filled with apple sauce. 0/10 not recommended.
-
TP's banana has spotz..might want to get that checked out vegan-boy. :D

You're telling me I shouldn't eat the molded part?! This must some of that wisdom coming from the 100% veggie/10% diet!

99998/100000 peeps Enjoys deep-fried Fuzzy Tofu

I like my bananas kinda on the green side. My wife is the opposite.
True story, she let some bananas go to the dark side and then instead of chunking them, she froze them so she could make cake or something with them when she returned from an overseas business trip. She took them out and then left them on the counter and they stained the quartz counter! Dark bananas bad! Light bananas good!

That reminds me of the Bizarre Foods guy on Discovery Channel who travelled the world and ate just about anything... The only thing he couldn't ever muster was fermented Tofu:

There's regular stinky tofu, and then there's crazy novelty things that -sort,of- not kill you..

My son is cool with black bananas I find this odd as I always insisted on having any blemishes cut out.
I'm definitely still partial to a banana sandwich. Ireland funnily enough is home to the largest banana distributor in the world called Fyffe's.They pick them totally underripe, store them in water and then you buy them still largely underripe. Remember being in mainland Europe before at markets getting fruit straight outta North Africa thinking oh cool this fruit has taste and isn't soggy as ****. I'd love to get some bananas like that again.
