You can't go wrong with Ducky. Especially if you are a beginner. Others may disagree and say oh you should be buying other boards from group buys but if you plan on using a reliable board for the long term, then Ducky is good

Sadly there aren't that many southpaw fullsizes or close to fullsize atm, and the one I know of the kangaroo doesn't support iso. The keychron q12 does have an iso barebones kit so that might have to be your best option atm, of course there are a lot of new projects happening so surely one will have southpaw with iso eventually.

I agree, having tried many options. I am careful with my phone and a couple of millimeters thickness is probably enough, especially when the corners are reinforced a bit more. I like a somewhat supple feel but if it gets too rubbery it makes pulling it out of a pocket way too awkward. My current one has a neon green trim line around the black body which makes it stand out and be differentiated from others.

The 6u HHKB prototype is currently sitting at KLC on display it uses the fly daughterboard and molex as it opened up more options for me design wise. I know a lot of people have reservations on the pico molex system but I thought the trade off was good enough to warrant using it.
