Help with Shift Key
« on: Tue, 04 October 2011, 01:39:03 »
Hi guys,

I just recently got my Adesso MKB-135B and it's been working fine so far. My only problem is that the shift keys are somewhat harder to press than the other keys (I have to apply more force than any of the other keys). I popped the left shift key and the stabilizer seems fine -- I also checked for dust or any other materials that might be affecting my ability to press the key and found nothing. Not only are they harder to press but they make a different clicky noise; it seems kind of muffled compared to the clickiness of the other keys. I'll post pictures later today as I don't have access to my keyboard currently. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I think on most keyboards the keys with stabilizer bars will make a slightly different sound due to the bar.

Maybe the wiki will have some info on fixing the amount of pressure needed to depress your switch. I know ripster has a thread going on different types of lube right now, but idk if that will help.
