It's such a fun idea, and a neat way to show keyboards, I'd kill to have this on other forums. I'd do it on Deskthority, but their forum system is just too blah for me to use, I don't like it, and I feel like reading through it is a chore.

This one is more old fashioned and more like how I prefer. (I think it's a PHPBB board?)

Also since I did this for another use on another thread I'm putting it here as well:

Shark! You are on Geekhack too?! I'm glad to see you here. :)

You have possibly the coolest IBM Collection, I'm glad to have you around too.

Also, thanks for the excellent additions.

So how do I get these to work for my signature? It's been like what feel like a decade since I've used BBCode.

What I do is this: I download them first, so right click save as, somewhere on the machine and then send them to an album on imgur (easy to use host, don't even need to sign up if you don't want to.), then once you are in the place to edit your signature do a:
Code: [Select]
[img][/img]
here is mine for example. The width and height will pop in automatically, after you've submitted it, so just the img tags will be needed.
Code: [Select]
[center][img width=325 height=48]https://imgur.com/8zUAZbg.png[/img][img width=429 height=48]https://imgur.com/vVLF2YM.png[/img]
Unicomp M122 - Unicomp Classic Trackball - IBM Model M13 - IBM Model F122 - IBM Model F Bigfoot - IBM Model F AT - Ducky Shine 3 Yellow[/center]

yours should look like:

Code: [Select]
[img]https://imgur.com/keyboard1.jpg[/img] [img]https://imgur.com/keyboard2.jpg[/img] [img]https://imgur.com/keyboard3.jpg[/img]
HERE YOU WRITE THE NAME OF THE KEYBOARDS

hope this helps.

Done some ThinkPad-related pixel art destined for my site/blog that I want to make available! Note that for the two full keyboards, I had trouble with the arrow keys since there wasn't enough resolution to do them properly without contracting the size of the backspace, Enter, and right shift - which would them be problematic for spacing between the F and hotkeys at the top. I think the compromise I ended up with is good enough.

IBM ThinkPad Model M6-1 Keyboard circa 1995 (generic, manufactured by Lexmark):

IBM SK-8845 UltraNav Keyboard circa 2004 (manufactured by LITE-ON):

IBM ThinkPad 560 Numeric Keypad Option circa 1998 (manufactured by Alps):

Ok, kudos to you. I was looking for one of these to put in my signature, and I was going to use a standard blue badge M, but since you just made one for the M5-2, I'll use it! I gotta say, you're like... one of a select few that I know that have a M5-2.

Glad!

Assumingly low production numbers aside, I'm quite at a loss as to why not many have them. Even if you don't use trackballs, you've basically got the keeb equivalent of a fidget spinner mounted to the damn thing. You'll never get bored at your desk again!

Thats so true. I got it from my dad, who does IT and has done it since the 80s, and he one day just gave it to me cause he was almost going to get rid of it. I'm kinda interested my dad even had it, but it makes sense. He only had to carry around 1 keyboard to test both mouse and keeb functionality, and seeing he was using it on a range of systems, I understand why he got the rare DIN-5 and DB9 serial cable instead of the regular dual PS/2. I can't fit any other info on this cable, though. Though it must mean the keyboard is different than dual PS/2 models, as serial and PS/2 are very different.

Pixilized my custom daily driver, my custom Asteria60 with a key cover that also acts as a palm rest.

I've attempted to revise the M50 design a little bit, taking into account its side profile should match that of the SSK's. The tall 'fringe' is still not 100% accurate, but I believe it to be a decent compromise. I've included both white and blue ovals, with both having a clear/relengendable and legended grey cap variants.

Awesome! Uh, you also know that your signature is slightly broken, correct?
