You lot in the FIRST world are lucky, I've only got a maximum of 710kBs on a rotted Copper line - and that's here in Greenmount, WA. This is the true speed in the 3rd World, no wonder very few people come here to live

I'm stuck with a WISP "11km wifi link" my other options are satellite "Hell no, I'm a gamer" or ~$80k to run fiber...

I think it's by country, but I could be wrong. Yours says faster than 96% of the US, divito's says faster than 98% of CA, blackbox's says faster than 82% NO. I wonder if the rating is by country or by world.

It's plenty quick for GH and stream 1080p, but AT&T oversells and promises bandwidth when they don't have any to give.

Wasn't there a time where ISPs were paid to upgrade their infrastructure but they never did and kept copper?

You know my crappy internet isn't all bad. It gives me an excuse to pack up my PC, drive an hour to the city and have a small LAN-party at my friends and tell steam it can do that 40+ downloads/updates it needs to do. If I had good internet I might have never left the house.
