KBC/GH Photo Contest #3: Sub-Framing (Dec. 6, 2017-Jan. 7, 2018) Now open!
What is sub-framing?
Sub-framing is a type of compositional technique wherein one or more photo elements are framed by another element. It’s a good way to add interest to the photo, lead the viewer’s eye towards the middle of the sub-frame, and emphasize a subject. It can take any shape or form, as long as it frames and adds focus to the intended subject or scene.

HannahPeach and I played around with the idea of having a series of photography contests to get people out there shooting and to possibly bring out some creativity that we know the community possesses. We decided to start this photography contest, with voting done by the users here. If there are enough people interested in taking part in this, we might have this be a reccuring thing.
The first inaugural KBC/GH Photo Contest is themed:

1. Title your photo "KBC/GH Photo Contest #1: Black and White Keyboard Photos"
2. Must be a newly taken photo.
3. Must be of a keyboard or keyboards (not just an artisan), in black and white (100% desaturated).
4. *EXTENDED* Entry period is 8/8/17 to 8/27/17. Voting will run for a week and conducted in this thread, via google form (GH username required).
5. Photo must be submitted to the flickr group below! Photos posted in this thread will not count.
6. The photo with the most votes will have their photo as the cover photo and banner picture in this thread.

Google definition of a portrait:a photograph of a person, especially one depicting only the face or head and shoulders.
There will be 2 categories for this contest: People portraits, and pet portraits. You may enter both!
