Great idea. If we want it to be a surprise to another member though, would it be possible to get their address from you, Bunny?

how do we all pay you back for being so consistently bad ass?

I think the point is that he doesn't want to be paid back. People paying it forward is reward enough.

I agree.  I for one really hope this works well and people don't just stop the chain.  A huge part of this hobby is the sharing of the things that you enjoy.

On a side note, what ever happened to the crowdsource keyset from a couple years back?

it never got finished, got about half way, i still have everything in a bag somewhere

That's a bummer.  I thought it was a lot of fun to see what people were adding to the mix.  Not to mention, that would have been one hideous looking board.   ;D

Well I for one am really feeling the spirit here and think this is a great idea\platform we could use for some cool projects. I have some ideas of some things I'd like to do for members of this site. I feel like maybe we could award members for different stuff maybe (saying it out loud it sounds cheese but in my head it sounded cool haha) like most dedicated new member, biggest fan, community mvp, best group buy organizer etc etc we could put together awards or prizes for people (sed8 shrugs her shoulders) it wouldn't just be about giving people caps or swag but community recognition. Its a little different I guess then paying it forward but pm me if anyone would like to talk about this or discuss Further as I don't want to derail.... You got me caught uup in the spirit bunny 8)

Edit: I know I have been shown and seen ALOT of kindness and acceptance here and I just want to give back. In not particularly wealthy or amazingly talented like so many of our great members but I can give my time and effort. I have been really trying to think of different ways I can give back/be more active. .  I have a couple of GB INTEREST checks in mind etc something besides the occasional cap giveaway or donation to pay it forward to a hobby and forum/community that has given me so much joy :thumb:

"each package contains a little something, ranging from a bro cap to a keyboard" and "send a little something to one to three more users" :))

This guy

Like baldgye, please exclude me from this as I also would feel guilty receiving something when I would struggle to pay it forward.  Also I have received too much from this community already that I cannot repay.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Bam bunny is the man, also I find this highly amusing that's he's saying no and your still giving him things reminds me of my grandma asking me if I want sweets even if I have had something to eat xD

So what I think I'm saying is bunny is geekhacker grandma loving and warm, also trying to make you eat everything :3 and giving you free thing to the dismay of your parents :3

so 21 total pay it forwards went out today

uk people should get theirs tomorrow but latest saturday

as a side note, about 10 of these packages i did a little research on, making sure they had the right boards etc, the other 11 are totally random, the contents of the packages vary in value, so please dont think its favouritism if you get something of a different value to someone else

THIS IS AWESOME  Thank you so much for doing this Bunny! The S&H receipt made me cringe a bit at the total but you can't put a price on something like this 8).... Please post pics people    such a great idea I hope people pick this up and run with it   :thumb:

That's almost $100 on shipping alone ;)

it was nearly way worse, to send it all tracked came to close to $400, so in the end i went with standard shipping

****, lucky then you receipt has you entered for a prize draw eh? ;D
