They are suppose to dampen the noise and stabilize the switch a little more.
Do they?

Sorry for the noob questions.  I've not seen these before.  And I'm new around here.

Is there a functional difference between the colours, or just for appearance?

Thanks.

Looks like there is an effect to be had :)

From: http://deskthority.net/marketplace-f11/ro-59-leftover-sale-stickers-custom-springs-t3591.html  A few posts down from the top of page one.

In which case I'll have at least one set please.  If all the colours are the same effect, then red.

Though before I complete your Google form, it doesn't look like there are holes for the LEDs?  What do I do about that?  Is there a version for LEDs?

Thanks.

Just an observation, not a complaint but I'm surprised there are no blacks available. Personally, I don't like the looks when the plate shows through between the keys and I can't stand the LEDs that glow around a group of keys or illuminate between the keys. I do however like backlit keys.

Correct me if I'm wrong but these do work on PCB mounted switches? If they are plate mount do they have to be desoldered, stickered and resoldered?

They should work on either but you will have to disassemble the switch. If you have a plate mounted board that requires you to desolder the switches to open them, then yes you will have to desolder them to open them.

Also i'm curious to find out whether they have much of an effect on platemount boards in terms of both sound and feel. I can see PCB mount boards being affected to a greater degree but at this point i'm just guessing.

i already explained that there is a cut where the diode goes, so therefor the legs of the LED will go through that. it doesn't bother the LED since that's outside the switch.

Thanks for explaining it again :)

I think that's a Good point made about black stickers.  Especially if people have a Corsair board with the exposed Aluminium fascia, as I was thinking of trying.

They certainly sound different with stickers. Much less rattling sound.

If you want further improvement in feel, try lube. I definitely felt the difference. (not to mention difference in sound)

just got word that.

from the moment i put in the order, it will take 4-5 weeks for me to get the stickers. that includes production time + shipping to me.

so basically, typical SP waiting time.

I wondered if the switch top movement helps to keep the moving stem centralised as it moves up and down and around, or at least not stuck in an off set position wearing fast at just a couple of touching points?

Would it be important to keep the top very concentric with the bottom once the sticker is fitted?
