I have some picture of E6 in Apple Silver: https://imgur.com/a/aN6Re

and I will ask Exclusive to change the bumpon to 3M SJ5302 :-)

and have more render soon

What are you currently using?

You should try SJ5382. It's the smallest height they make (1.9mm vs 5302 2.2mm) so will minimize impact on wrists :p

Is that really ceresia? It looks more red than that to me.

Edit: just noticed the mods and wasd are different colors. I really want something with RO2 to match the red honey alphas. But I guess it probably wouldn’t be that bad with ceresia if this is what it looks like.

legends match and afaik there hasn't been another red mod kit run with compat like this

there was a red accent kit run in china, but i don't think it was full modi like this

wasd might be from the chinese set, or from elitekeyboards

ceresia is about as close as you'll get without bending over backwards to get one of the chinese sets aftermarket to check if it's the same color and possibly be disappointed

What's the point of adding a brass weight into the case? Will it make the sound more quiet?

Heavier cases sound deeper. Brass is added for weight and looks.

about keycap on E6-V2 red:
- all alpha (include WASD) come from Cherry G80-3060 keyboard. This keycap was made by GMK for Cherry, a little orange, not trully red. It's same color with elitekeyboards modify keycap, and GMK Red from Hammer.
- mods is Originative Cressia
- spacebar is JTK cocacola keycap set

Personally, I'm liking the smaller blockers since it's something less often done, so I find myself more interested in it.

Personally I think the true WKL looks the best out of the four. There aren't many 60% WKL options and the small blockers are just a cop out.

+1, 1u > .5u blockers for WKL layout.

I may advance the date close the IC thread

For the all brass it will limited to 10

it will have engraving numbers such like   "Limited Edition" I II III IV V VI VII VIII IX X

it will like that  I of X -   V of X   -    X

Dat would look sickkkk, but I'm not baller enough for brass haha

it may cancel of X this character still need discuss  about this . :D

I think arabic numerals > roman numerals in this case, easier to read

Do you spend lots of time reading your weights?

I like the roman numeral idea personally.

given some of the font choices i have seen out of chinese GBs, i would prefer arabic numerals

and probably flip my mira over every three or four days to check patina
For sure i will . i will sort the color and post later

Btw,IC date advanced to 25th

thanks, appreciate it

Can someone explain the difference between a MAO finish vs regular anodizing?

vs MAO (or PEO) (sorry it's not a nice video, but you can look up videos of the process if you're interested

MAO isn't as durable as anodizing, but it can be done in "white" (unlike anodizing). it's also more expensive to do than regular anodizing. from what i understand, it is more corrosion resistant than anodizing, but flakes off easily

forget that last bit, apparently it's just because most manufacturers don't polish off the layer of crud that builds up, so it makes it seem like it's worse than it is. supposedly it's near diamond hardness

Yup, mao is basically forming a layer of corundum over the aluminum. But the process of mao actually forms 3 layers and the outer one is softer and more prone to damage. The inner layers should be around ~5x-10x harder than any anodizing.

Also, while the only mao ive seen on keyboards has been the white/grey variety, it is possible to do black and grey as well as brown and green. No clue if anyone who runs keyboards could actually pull it off, but the capability does exist.

So does this mean you could take off the outer layer and it would look fine? or is that a bad idea?

In theory if you had sandpaper of the right hardness/grit you could wet sand/polish the outer layers off and leave behind only the harder inner layer as it should be a solid crystalline layer. Maybe final polish with like cerium or something.

MAO SHOULD allow for a smoother finish than anodizing. I imagine the correct way to do it is to bead blast it, but I could be wrong.

i'll give my aluminum engineer friend a call on monday and see what he says

i don't really know anything about this though, so might be a bit convoluted

These newest board renders are looking seriously awesome!  ;D  Personally i will be going with Teal and no blockers (i think no blockers or hhkb style look the best on 60% boards).
