One more bump for the Dolch Pac computer before I take it to the recycling.

You may want to post the Dolch pack at the Free stuff thread, instead.

Thanks I did that but no takers, lol...
Bump for some more stuff, I knew I would be super slow at listing items. ^-^

I'd like to grab that dolch set. If it's still available.

Wish I saw the Dolch Color Pack earlier, or never saw this thread at all :)

Do you have the original blue switches that came with the Dolch PAC boards?

Help pay for your iphone X
Astonishing to think that a small piece of mass-produced modern bling would command a price tag equal to or greater than a massive machine of impeccable quality and complexity ....

Indeed, Iphone X - you would be cool for a year maybe....Unsaver - you would be cool forever! ^-^ (Only to a small niche of people)

Did the Dolch ever find a good home? It seemed like it was in great shape.

Is the PAC still around?
I'd be interested in the HDD, if it's functional.
I have a PAC that I'm trying to get working, and the HDD in mine is beyond help, and I can't even get any info off of it. It'd be great to grab one with all the original utilities and drivers to extract.

Maybe, I finally got around to taaking pictures for Kishy but I'm not sure if was still interested. I'll let you know what he says. Also bump for an unsaver! or even a kish to trade! :))

I had replied by PM, but might as well put the relevant stuff here too...
I am moderately interested in the chassis of the PAC 64 as it sits currently (shipping cost to be a determining factor) but I do not need the HDD (not in the form of hardware, anyway). I am however curious to poke around with the software on the drive as well, so vewy, I'd ask that if you take the drive, you please provide an image of it for my tinkering uses.
This thread reminds me that I haven't used, or even laid eyes on my own Unsaver in approximately forever. I'll need to do that soon.

I'm still waiting on my unsaver to get back to me, but here's some pictures of a cardiodymanics unit (modified dolch) taken before I got a good camera, unfortunately. I cant find my regular dolch pictures

Hello,
what a mistake to throw away a Dolch Pac 64 body!
I did upgrade mine to I7 Ivy Bridge and GTX 1060. I'm acutally editing this post from it.
The upgraded machine is a beauty and works like charm.
I managed to keep all the original functionality, floppy disk drive, keyboard , cd etc.
Full build log here:

That is an incredibly well-executed case mod. I'm envious. I have a PAC 65 already, which is the same chassis except it already uses a PICMG backplane. It, however, only came with a Pentium II when new :)
The display adapter board is useful information, thank you for the detailed video.
I would suggest this get branched off into its own thread in Other Geeky Stuff.

Thank You very much for Your kind words kishy .
I'm planning to make the last video with the final presentation so that You'll be able to see exactly how nice the mod is.
I did'nt know the 65 comes with a PICMG backplane, I just imagined that one could fit and I screamed until I found one for my 64!
I have a couple of pictures of the display in operation:

Note that the last picture is taken with the camera full flash; there's no glare on the display and it's so bright that it can withstand the flash light.
We're going a little off topic (keyboards) but I think we're helping sleepy916 sell his Dolch Pac !

Maybe if you posted your monetary offer it might shake something loose.

Probably a good starting point would be around $1250 nowadays. It can go up or down depending on condition, if the controller has been replaced, APL, etc.
Bump.
