[IC] 40% RGB Backlight Keyboard
« on: Mon, 22 April 2019, 11:49:40 »
I've seen the lack of a 40% RGB Backlit RGB keyboard on the market, so here I am.

The PCB should arrive within a week, so expect some updates.
They are intended to have individual WS2812B-Mini RGB LED for the backlight.

More information can be found here: https://angularmk.xyz/angular-rgb/

And this is a potential case design for the PCB.

I hope the price will be as minimal as the case design.

Don't know if it's just for the render or if this case color will be final but it got me interested.

Ortho would have been cool but that's personal preference and judging on what's on your site I think we'er past that.

Would be great if this PCB were available to buy "standalone" so other people could design plates and cases for it.

40% RGB is actually practical as a very flexible tool for layer indication.

What a great idea. I have a Mech Mini RGB coming soon. I believe I will give this a try with it when it arrives. Thanks!

My original idea for the case is a really light cyanish colour, and more are possible. And we are not yet over the ortho linear design, but it will not have RGB features. Hopefully, the interest check for that board will be out soon.

Good idea, the boards, in the end probably will be able to be purchased standalone and the case will be an add on.
