So what is the plan going forward? Possible space bars and other keys? Also will you be selling the other colors at a later date? For example just bought a purple keyset, now I may need a purple cap...............

Hey buddy, other keys are definitely on the road map (but probably way down the track) - and yes other colors and keycap styles will definitely be introduced! :)

The remainder of the stock is on sale now through my website as Round 2 which includes the rest of the Hyperfuse Purple caps :D Although if you're looking for a specific purple, that can be arranged :3

Looks like I'm the only one that got the Miami cyan. One of a kind! :D
Hehe yep! Also, 1/15 editions will have a slightly different authenticity card to the rest :3

Thanks dude :D the middle stem is the same as the current version so that fits!
All that needs to be tested is the Topre - 3d printing something ATM and will report back :)

EDIT: Video of prototype #2
Main issue as pointed out by Nubbinator, they will pop-off easily. But I have another idea which will have to wait until next week to trial :'(

EDIT2: Scrap that, did the prototype now and fixed the "pop-off" issue:

Yo Qaz! Going to be receiving the caps this week :) And will be promptly sending them off at the end of the week or very early next week :)

Ideally it would be end of this week however it is Easter weekend in Melbourne and I believe Friday/Monday is a public holiday :S (EUGH)
I will be shipping all orders with tracking numbers and the couriers estimates are 3-10 days for International :)

Here are some potato pics from my manufacturer:

All the coloured caps produced without the raw alu version

Andddd a sneak peak of my the M10-A http://rama.works/m10-a/

Annddd an alu mould! WOO

Now for some potentially upsetting news. These where shipped today (Wednesday) via DHL (all praise), however Friday is a public holiday.
So all put your hands together and pray to the DHL lord that shipping arrives tomorrow (Thursday), otherwise we will have to wait till Tuesday next week (Monday is also a public holiday).
Dat timing though... :(

Usually I'd love to have a day off, but not this time :(

Thanks, Rama

I have taken the Tuesday off work to focus completely on getting these orders prepped and shipped out as soon as possible!

These look great! Can't wait to use them! And I LOVE the design of that macropad. Really different from all the sleek modern designs we usually see. Definitely gonna have to try and get me one of those :thumb:

Thanks heaps dude appreciate it :) Cannot WAIT to show the prototype for the macropad :D I was really inspired by the old Apple M0110 keyboards, really just wanted to do something different away from everything that's out now, something fun!

It's funny, I actually originally just made it to purely advertise my keycaps, then everyone just kinda made me productize hahaha. Really lucky to have found a really talented software/engineering guy (http://www.machineindustries.co/), which is another funny story :P He found me through RoastPotatoes (keyboard messiah) blog (http://blog.roastpotatoes.co/) then contacted me and he worked something up to get it going :D. Cannot wait to show off the configurator he made for it, it's freaking SWEET and super easy + it looks sexy as hell :P He also designed a bootloader to make the M10 show as a storage device on the computer when put into programming mode and you just drag on the file generated by the configurator and boom done! :D Anyways sorry, random tangent, but I get really excited talking about it :D

If you want to see more images of the macropad check out the link below:

Wow, as someone who knows jack **** about programming and spent a few hours just trying to get the software on my Duck Eagle to work that bootloader sounds amazing.

Oh man, I cannot wait to show off the awesome stuff Machine has done, but basically it's a line drawing of the M10 and you just click the key in the interface and type in what you want it to do or click a media key etc, then there's also the layers etc. It runs all from a browser so it's compatible with any OS. Best part is the whole thing's going to be open-source so hopefully other makers can utilize it to streamline the process of programming keyboards easily :D Really excited to demonstrate it in the following weeks!! Trying our best to add as much value to this unit, as it's something I'm really passionate about - just so excited to get this off the ground :D

Hi everyone, after a long day (for real, spent like 12 hours) with my gurl - I finally got all the packages together:

I realise the box is huge LOL, and I honestly wish it where smaller.. but the AusPost shipping thing is so beyond retarded until I can get a business account to print direct to thermal labels. I literally have to print a4 sheets, cut it in half and stick that on, so box size was dependent. ><"

Will be shipping them tomorrow, I was planning on doing it today, but ended up finished up at 10PM :/ (Post closes at 5:30)

This was my first GroupBuy, so a lot of time was spent figuring things out and packaging individual items :O
Each package includes:
  • The keycap
  • A plaque of authenticity (only for coloured editions) (1/15 will have a fluro version)
  • A 4% PCB to tinker with :)

It seems the keycaps fit different depending on switch type, so you may have to shimmy it accordingly. On some switches it fits perfectly, on some it's loose, a tighter fit can be created by adding tape between the stem.

The RAW aluminium has a brushed finish, buy a polished finish can be achieved by using a "silver polishing cloth" and just rubbing it for a minute by hand, you will achieve a finish like so:

Thankyou all for your patience and support! Also would like to say that I am no longer pursuing TMX due to the dramas involved, I just want to make cool stuff with this community and not step on anyones toes. I know a lot of other members of the community have been working on the same thing, I just wanted to do my own take on it is all :/ From the beginning the goal of my first GroupBuy was to fund other projects I was interested in pursuing, and I have done that by working on my latest project, the Macropad! Here is a pic of the macroboard and a poker filled with CNC caps (The $3k keyboard!)

Thanks once again, RAMA :)

Seriously though, super excited to receive mine!

Also, what is TMX?  Is that the hybrid stem you were developing?  Sucks that there is drama involved, people are doing their own versions of existing ideas all the time in this community but I guess yours must've ruffled some feathers if you're dropping the project, which is a shame because it was looking good and looked to have quite a bit of promise :(

Sooo excited to finally ship them out man, hate keeping you guys waiting! Expect tracking numbers sooon!

Yeah, the hybrid stem! Honestly it's just going to require a lot of money I don't have to prototype it further (the first prototype didn't work 100%) and it seemed to be upsetting some people as well, so I'll just leave it - just want to make cool stuff, don't care for the drama :(

Just gonna focus on my Macropad baby for now :3 Working on getting some keycaps made for it too :D

It'll be a nice surprise when they arrive so I'm not too worried about it.

I love the macropad though, I'll be watching for the updates on that one. :)
