It's a Logitech scissor switch keyboard.  Any suggestions on how to clean it?

Scissors should be able to be dissembled and reassembled, but YMMV with how fragile the snaps are. Test on an unused key like Scroll Lock.

Heatshrink tubing is great when it isn't too thin. German heatshrink tubing is the best, actually. Feels less like rubber and more like plastic.

It also depends on how deep into the mechanism the coffee got. If it got below the the plastic sheet between the keys at all, you're screwed.

Seriously, just get a decent keyboard rather than taking the time to try fixing that one. It just isn't worth it. Look for a used IBM, Dell, or a keytronic in decent shape. Stay away from those chiclets of death.

Some people enjoy a keyboard that types well.  Some people enjoy a keyboard with flashy macros and wireless.  All depends on what you want I guess.  I showed him a Filco, and he laughed.  He hated my Modem M, so I guess when I get a Leopold I'll let him test drive it.....   without a coffee...

@Nanu, thanks for the advice.

I lost coffee in my laptop keyboard once, and it only got a little unstable afterwards. Should have fed my plants with it instead.

Oh yeah, I put some paper under around the keys to get my coffee back.
What\'s in the back of my car? A cdr lol
