due to some friends having some serious paypal problems, i'm going a little slower then I said in a previous post, but that shouldn't cause any alarm or worry, I'm just thinking about the buy as whole.

Honestly don't pay attention to him at all. Cherry dyesubs and Cherry doubleshots are generally known as the two best types of keycaps around, I think Pac may be the only snob even though he's owned them for about a week.

just an FYI, BSP is much more difficult to work with when compared to GMK :/

anoxy, it's all a matter of preference.  One or the other isn't better - I've also used OG PBT for a time and prefer Cherry doubleshot ABS by a slight margin.  But both choices are great in their own right (much better than the standard OEM stuff at any rate).

Yeah, that's what you need to remember about most keyboard-related stuff. It's all subjective. Keycaps, switches, keyboards, etc.

I've gone on a lot about how much I love original Cherry dyesubs (sorry if I annoyed anyone with that), but that's just my opinion. There's nothing that makes original dyesubs objectively better than GMK/Cherry doubleshots.

I have a BSP PBT dye-sub set on the way, as well as a GMK doubleshot set, so I'll be able to see which I prefer.

In any case, I'm excited for these mods. They'll really add some pizazz to my clackless board.

I've actually never tried a full original cherry dye sub set, only cherry typerwriter dye subs, and they were very nice.

I have a decent amount of cherry double shot sets, and they are by far my favorite over everything.

I DO have my first full set of original ansi cherry dyesubs in the mail, I'll be able to test them out as a whole

Someone please explain to me (noob) how these mods will sit with an OEM set.

OEM caps are about a mm higher on the lower rows, so they won't fit too well.

If you decide you don't like original cherry dyesub, you know what you can trade for with that set.

I have a set of Cherry vintage dyesubs. IMO their only advantage to Cherry DS is that PBT is more durable than ABS, so PBT sets don't become shiny so easily, and PBT doesn't yellow. Although, I think modern ABS doesn't yellow as easily as the one fromm the 90's either, because they use different flame retardants nowadays.

Cherry ABS and PBT both feel great, ABS feels a tad better to me but that's a matter of taste.

I received and paid mine. My mom didn't receive any invoices but she would have paid promptly as well. I believe Dubs can't really do much about invoicing if the first batch(es) of invoices don't get paid :/

dubs hasn't finished invoicing. When he has finished I'm sure he will make a post here. You don't need to worry about not having an invoice unless you still don't have an invoice after he's made a post saying 'I've finished invoicing'
