Title: Casting a case would work?
Post by: ineph on Wed, 29 March 2017, 09:57:42
I'm recently interested on casting keycaps and this thought came to me... It's actually possible/practicable to make a CM storm case with a resin from a mold? With which resin?

Possible. Here's an IC for resin 60% cases.

Anything larger than 60% would probably need some crazy dense resin and a giant pressure pot. Just my two cents.

The cost of production would far exceed the value of the boards, unless you had the materials and preorders fully paid before starting.

that is if you want a case that looks decent.

Could cast in aluminum.
