Hello ! Here is MarbleK and we are back for a new product which will be limited in quantity and time. After our previous collaboration with GMK Coral and GMK Apollo, we did our best to find a great match of marble for this keycaps set.
Fortunately, we did and we found the "Angela Pearl" marble :eek:
Angela Pearl Marble :
We specially selected this grey marble to complement the KAT Iron keycaps set.
Angela Pearl has a light grey color and contain traces of Iron, that is why it contains some dark grey and rusty color zebras.
There could not be a better match for KAT Iron !

Those are slabs of Angela Pearl marble from local supplier in Taiwan, the slab we get after order may be slightly different as it is a natural material.
This is a big step forward for us, Marblek, as it is the first time we get a specific marble ordered for our products. :thumb:

Design:
Angled : Small angle of around 4 degrees and two slightly rounded corners, only one side is polished and adhesive rubber feet are provided to stick on the bottom side.

Shipping Cost: We are trying our best to lower the worldwide shipping costs despite the current increased shipping cost. We will be able to offer shipping at 25USD to USA/Canada/Western Europe; 30USD to Australia and 10 USD to most of Asia.
Shipping Date and method: The pieces will be shipped from Taiwan with DHL (SF Express in Asia) 2 months after the end of the GB. (so end of October)
Origin : This piece of Angela Pearl Grey marble wrist rest is manufactured by a local manufacturer in Hualien, TAIWAN, a city famous for its marble industry. This marble stone is imported from Turkey.
Weight : From 1.1 kg to 1.4kg (2.4~3.1 lbs)

Marble is a material sensitive to acid corrosion. This piece of marble has been coated to improve the resistance to such damages, however, please, do not spread acid liquids or products on it such as : fruit juices, food, detergents ,...
FAQ :
1/ Does the marble feel cold ?
The marble has a thermal conductivity higher than wood but lower than metal. Therefore, if there is a big difference between your body temperature and the ambient temperature, the marble will cool down your wrists.
In conclusion, except if the ambient temperature is freezing cold, you will only have a pleasant cooling feeling, similar to a glass table or kitchen countertop.
2/ Does the marble wrist rest feel hard or uncomfortable ?
The first purpose of a wrist rest is to elevate your wrists to the level of the keyboard.
For instance, as most mechanical keyboards are high (2 cm), if you keep typing a long time without wrist rest, your wrists will feel tired or even painful at the end of the day.
Therefore, this wrist rest perfectly serves this purpose, however, it will not provide any cushioning. The cushioning will be the same as a wood or glass table.
