[IC] Unified daughterboard C3 - GB LIVE
« on: Tue, 14 September 2021, 11:44:07 »
GB LIVE: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=114632.0

Hello

As I've been looking (and failing) to find a unified daughterboard C3 in the EU/USA I'm willing to organize a small GB asap if enough people are interested.

Pricing

Approx 5-10USD/unit excl. shipping. (awaiting quotes from manu's to confirm the price, order quantity is also a factor)

Color

Black PCB

Shipping

Tracked and untracked will be possible.
I suggest using untracked mail (letter) to reduce the shipping cost as much as possible.

So if you're interested please fill in the google form: https://forms.gle/EfMvREH2X4zE8Gtd6

Thanks!

I really will if I get enough interest. Will prob need to sell 50 units to reach a reasonable price around 5USD excl ship.

Been looking for one of these.

Tell me about it. I started DM'ing people on reddit and old suppliers who were out of stock without success.

Current interest is around 35 units so currently price of a DB would hover around 7USD which is still OK for me and within the bounds set of the IC. So we might be successful. :)

I would buy at least 5 and more like 15 of these (planning a small in-stock "GB").

Already joined. Hope we get enough interest!

edit: btw, each daughterboard comes with a JST cable or will come with a single one regardless of daughterboards?

Currently it seems that everyone but 1 person wants an included JST cable. Therefore I'm adding one for each DB to every order as they're like 1EUR/each.

Great to hear. Would help this 'gb' significantly!

Always nice to have spare boards for those occasions when "someone" clumsy broke your connector :)

Great to hear! Interest is sufficient to reach units were pricing is quite okay. I'll be posting a gb somewhere tonight/tomorrow

EDIT: will not be posting GB tonight/tomorrow as I need 25 posts lmao

Great to hear. IC is doing great, a lot of interest. I'll probably post GB info on Friday if I can reach the 25 post limit.

Who are you intending to manufacture it with? Are they able to solder the USB port?

They'll be able to manufacture it to spec and I've manufactured with them before so I don't expect any issues and I like their quality.
Are there any other concerns you might have?

Also, GB is live and I've updated the post with the link: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=114632.0
