It's just a HUGE amount of matter so dense thats it's own gravity makes it collapse on itself. It's like having the whole planet earth to fit in a single keycap. It cannot be seen, but can be perceived by the gravitationnal effect on surrounding elements (planets, stars, etc.)

That's a black hole. You have no idea what dark matter is. What dark matter is, is not a simple question and has no simple answer. Head over to wikipedia.
