Hi all,
This is a simple IC for some spacebars in L9.

Why?
Mainly because I'm tired of warped spacebars with my PBT sets. And because Originative has been sold out for a while now.

OCO support said that they are awaiting shipement from GMK that contains spacebars. They didn't specify the date tho.

why do we need half the kit in 6u bars
Just run it with the most warped (and used) 7u bar and I'll pay whatever exhorbant shipping for it
Heck, just replace the 3 other bars with 7u bars

Same here bud, in a perfect world we'd be able to just order 7u bars. Although I think GMK doesn't do runs of a single size (can't think of any good reasons for this TBH though) as even Oco's sets come with at least a 6.25u & 7u.

I think they have worked the issues out, just got my GMK Godspeed set with the space bar kit a few days ago & all the bars are perfectly straight like they used to be.

Same, the cost is the deciding factor and lots of 7u bars.
Maybe throw in some black (CR) and Dolch (CC) bars too?

Is it not possible to heat pbt up with a hair dryer/heat gun and bend them straight? (I have ebt, but even the 20$ sets have straight bars, as far as I can tell at least.)

Sometimes warped PBT spacebars can be fixed like that, although it really depends on where the warping is on the spacebar. If it's just in the body itself it's possible to straighten them, but if there is warping in the stems then no, bending it to look straight will not work.

it is, but annoying and not always perfect iirc

Not opposed to this idea, as I only use 7u myself. How many bars per kit? 3? 6? 12?!

not sure how many in each kit would work out the best. but i would probably make sure to have at least 3 spacebars. if you were to open up for black or other colors, that number would increase

Having a single 7u at higher MOQ pricing would probably make more sense than a kit with multiple 7u bars if there's enough demand
Maybe see if a vendor can quote multiple kit options and see what works best

Might just be my luck but I've never received a GMK set without warped spacebars. Warped GMK bars are not hard to fix with a heat gun but I have definitely worked with some unfixable pbt spacebars before.

As others have already stated: How lousy GMK's quality assurance may warrant to deliver unwarped bars?
Answering the question, what I need are 6.25 bars in classic beige, black and dolch colors, may accommodate getting some 7u's along with standards, but I do not need them. Maybe we could pair orders with some others that just need the longest.

Okay, so I've been asking around the vendor community regarding GMK's production timeline and practices, because I don't think it makes sense for them to place this at the end of their queue given all the delays and how small this set is. However, I also wouldn't want to delay sets any longer than they have been.
I think the best solution is if they can produce this along side others sets already in the queue that use the same colors (L9, CR). However, the consensus among the vendors seems to be that it would indeed go at the end of the queue but the actual production time would be short since it's just spacebars.
So I guess the question is...how patient are you guys given it's just spacebars? I also wonder if Originative might restock by then.

Would say, JTK be an option? If they can match to L9 and CR well, and their lead times are shorter, it might be a good alternative. Keyreative also makes Cherry-profile ABS blanks, though I owned their black set and their black is lighter and greener than CR. Not sure of other vendors - everyone else does PBT (might be viable depending on if they can nail the color matching).
For CR - I also ordered a GMK Bleached spacebar kit a while back, which comes with black CR 6.25u and 7u spacebars. I'm splitting up the kit with some other people (the WS2 bars are going to a friend who went in on GMK Noel but forgot to order the minibars, and I'm selling off the CR minibars - 3 people have PM'ed me on Reddit about taking the CR split spaces for their GMK WoB sets), so it should run me only maybe $5-$10 to get the 6.25u and 7u bars. Bleached is shipping out now, and there will probably be extras available soon, so this is probably a viable option for people looking for CR bars. There can probably be arrangements made between people to split up the WS2 bars, 6.25u and 7u CR bars, and the mini-bars, as there's different audiences looking for each.

I filled the IC form. I'm tired of the terrible QC on GMK spacebars lately. My GMK Kaiju Spacebar is warped like a banana and it's already cracking on the inserts. OCO is also out of stock till next year so its just been a painful experience.

How's NicePBT? Just bought a set out of frustration. CannonKeys Winter Tundra for my IKKI68 Mizu as I wait for GMK Shoko R2 Q1/2022. Hope that set doesn't have a warped spacebar too.
