the kit design is somewhat perplexing

-no numpad alphas in the brown alphas kit, making them useless for fullsize/1800/etc
-brown spacebars separated from the brown alphas kit, so if you'd want an all-brown set you'd need to get both the brown alphas and spacebars ($95)

Affordable! In for a set. I'm guessing that the Rama keys are going to be more or less the same as the past group buys this year.

Hey Hiney!

You make excellent points. I responded on Reddit already with this:

1) there simply hasn't been really and desire around dark numpad. I wouldn't need two hands to count the number of people who requested it and we made the decision to not include it simply out of being cost conscious and MOQ concerns, trying not to add a ton of price to the dark alphas. We put the ISO and numpad kits together in one kit for the same MOQ concerns, splitting them off from base to hopefully help with base kit cost.

2) this is the same scenario as above, really. There had been a few spacebar kits that put the mod colored spacebar into them and assumed that trend would continue, which is why they're int that kit on top of applying the same reasoning above as to hopefully keep the dark alphas kit cost lower, being concerned for MOQ with there not being sub-legends or anything to really "sell" them other than the color.

I'm certain there are many different kit layouts we could have done and I'm sure I would do slightly differently if there's ever a future set I work on or design; however, the decisions we made were based, in part, on the above logic and trying to appeal to the largest possible audience, while still giving options to some of the less popular layouts (not that full size/1800 isn't popular, just that dark numpad wasn't desired by many).

Again, valid points, we just chose a different direction. And, all that being said - if there is appetite for it, we are open to altering kits to make it more favorable for those interested.

P.S. Excited for your board!

Novelties in the base kit sure took its toll on the pricing. :/

Agreed. Inclusion of the novelties in the base kit, and the separation of the numpad from the base kit, are causing my interest in this set to drop.

Since it is just two novelty designs, it makes sense to put them in base instead of their own kit. Pricing is still quite good too. If you took them out, I'd imagine the price wouldn't change by more than $10.

The white is 6u (centered and off-set stem) while the accents are 6.25u and 7u.

1800 compat (R1 End, PgDn) doesn't make sense in the base kit without a numpad present. Those two keys should be moved to the Sugar kit.

Was so hyped, but with ISO Support in an extra Set and than not even full international Support it really sucks. I wont Pay 50 $ for a Single key. Really disappointed i have to pass.

The ISO key, because of it's size is quite more expensive than a single 1u key. And of course you know that an ISO kit includes more than 1 key. Usually it's 4 keys, but most sets have 5 because of an accented ISO. Unfortunately because ISO is quite niche in this hobby, it will see itself in a separate kit more and more often. As an ergo/ortho user, I understand a little bit of your frustration.

Can we just drop ISO overall then? Really dont want useless ISO keys with my numpad purchase that maybe 10-20 people total in this entire GB will even use. Doubt the numpad people are even happy its there. I vote get rid of ISO.

Since there are only 2 unique novelty designs, adding them to the base probably only raises the cost by $5, maybe $10 at the most. That extra few dollars is well worth it IMO and putting them in a separate kit would easily double their cost - not to mention I've never seen a novelty kit with only 2 unique designs.

We should just have an MOQ/Price per key.

And by doing so you ensure that the ISO kits will forever remain a low number...
THUS re-enforcing the perception that ISO users is a vocal minority...
WHICH guarantees that ISO keys will not included in future sets’ base kits.
And on and on, the snake eating itself by the tail.

Vote with your wallet, holy crap. You’re not in the position of power to demand anything.

Was so hyped, but with ISO Support in an extra Set and than not even full international Support it really sucks. I wont Pay 50 $ for a Single key. Really disappointed i have to pass.

1. I didn't demand anything, I just voiced my disappointment, something everybody is allowed and often times even encouraged to do.
2. As stated in my original reply I am voting with my wallet, by not buying this set.
3. Just to clarify: I am willing to spend extra for iso, but than i would like to have a proper NORDEUK Kit, somthing that is rarely even tried (obv. for a good reason, but the hobby is growing and therefore Id wish GB runners would at least try it more often)

I understand the dilemma, but it is what it is.
You think you’re voting with your wallet for “This ISO kit sucks. Please make it better.”
People will think you’re voting for “See? So few ISO kits are sold. Why drag down the base kit to serve a tiny minority?”

I'm going to buy Sugar kit, just for ISO. Numpad will go on sale, but I need that ISO :)
I'm glad its available, as some sets nowadays don't.

I love this set and plan to join the gb. But I'm wondering what size the bottom row of space bars are in the space bar kit. I will need 2.25 and 2.75.

I think both spacebar kit and 40s kit have 2.75 and 2.25. (Tbh, wish one of the split bar sets were the brown color, oh well)

Weird question perhaps, but any chance you could offer the mousepad at a 100x50 cm size? (normal is 90x40)
90x40 just never really does it for me unfortunately and we all know man with a big mousepad have big, uuhhh, mice!

Could we get this confirmed, perhaps? I've been wondering about the actual sizes of those spacebars as well.

I think the mod and accent-colored spacebars are 6.25u and 7.00u, so the only 6.00u spacebars are cream.  Makes sense that one is center-mount and one is offset.

Also, I think the two cream-colored 1Us in the 40s kit are convex.
