I would like same set but in cherry/KAT profile

Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

Never used SA so I might be more comfy with KAT too.

Liking the color but any chance for ergo kit?

Ergo is definitely something I'm interested in exploring. Consolidating the 40s/Ortho takes priority, however as I understand it, quite a lot of the coverage overlaps so I may implement 40s/Ortho/Ergo within the same kit.
Understood. Just hoping it won't drive the kit price too much.
Will keep my eyes on this for now.

I am so happy to finally see a really nice looking SA set. Are you considering adding any custom cable(s) with this GB?

It really doesn't make sense OP chose SA profile and then an unique form?,  why don't chose Cherry, DSA and KAM profile then?

I'm not sure I follow, but SA row 3 has been around as a uniform profile for a long time. I like it because it is not as flat and short as DSA and I just like the look.

Some people like sculpted profiles, some people like flat profiles,  its just preference. To me,  SA represents sculpted profile.  For a flat profile, I would choose others, KAM Superusers is an example.

I'm currently talking with a local cable maker in Sydney, Australia for a special run of cables. Depending on the demand, I may expand production to other cable makers. He'll get first dibs though.

Personal preference. I designed the set as I wanted it with as few compromises as possible.

I'd like to have international coverage. I'm currently weight between the Light/Dark alphas whilst also having international coverage and keeping the kitting sleek. I'll be consolidating where possible, and eliminating some less popular combinations if need be.

I also support the R3 SA! I love my Laser SA set but i have to be mindful of the board i use it on due to the row config so this would work perfectly on my wonky ymdk96. I also love the white alphas!

Updates

  • Dark Alphas has been broken into it's own base kit
  • ISO-UK has been integrated into the base kits
  • Numpad now includes Dark Alpha variants
  • Ortho / 40s have been merged and refined
  • Spacebars now include 2 x 3.00u accent bars.
  • Novelties haven't changed, with the exception that the Valknut has been replaced by Trefoil knot.
  • Ergodox is in consideration and planning

That's all for the updates,
thank you for your patience.

Great update, imo. Thanks for switching in the trefoil knot, I think it fits the theme even better in its more typical representation. The new ortho/40s kit works fine for my purposes (ortho and col stagger)  :thumb:

Rest in peace, ISO-FR  :( There might have been not enough demand for this layout and thus increasing the production cost for "nothing", I can understand. Sadly I cannot follow along the adventure as my layout seems unsupported.
Great set nonetheless !

Can you confirm whether mono legends are in or out? This set being row 3 means it greatly increases the compatibility for users, and a mono legends kit would open up that compatibility even more.

That looks amazing. Too bad the ortho/40s kit is black only (but I get the kit is already big and that you already have a lot of kits). I might have to get the white one, too, though.

I am SO excited for this set. I've seen some hate in the thread for uniform, so I just want to voice support of uniform. Uniform profile + the beautiful accent color + ortho layout support make this set an instant buy for me. I'm so excited. (I know I said that at the beginning, but I'm still feeling it!)

Also, another commenter asked if you're looking into a cable collab. I would def be interested in something like that as well.

Good luck with IC and can't wait for GB!

I love the colors on this set and the legends are so cool too! Never seen a uniform SA set before either which is pretty neat.

Please add two 1.5u Super keys and a second 1u Alt key either to the base kit or an extension kit to add support for macOS 7u and HHKB layouts.

Is SA always ABS, can it be PBT, or is that not what SP works in?

ABS looks awful after my fingers have been oozing on it for a week.

SP does have a PBT mold for SA but that is for dye sublimation (dark letters on light caps).  This colorway would have to be doubleshot ABS.

Hooray about GB coming up! But still a bit sad to lose 40s. I realize we're days away, but any chance on including the "3 key 40s" compatibility in TKL? (1.75u backspace, 1.25u tab, and the existing 1.5u enter)

Are there any rough estimates of ship date after the group buy? Are we looking with 6 months, 12 months, or more?

Also, who is the manufacturer going to be? I would guess signature plastics, but I can't remember if there are others who also make an SA profile too.
