Noted, thank you for the info and the link to the old accents. I think they look nice, but if I had to choose, I personally prefer the revised version because I like keeping things uniform.

I do want to swap the latin alphas for a latin base kit, but I still need more IC responses to justify two base kits.

Would really want a latin base kit as well. Set looks soooo clean with just the latin alphabet.

Double base kits are risky right now. Look at Power Chord's numbers. I think it really needs to be a R2 thing, or something with a huge amount of support.

By contrast offering alt alphas lets people cover two boards with base + alphas, which is a big selling point. Flip side I guess is that there will always be folks who prefer one set of alphas over the other and just want the one kit.

I think this is a good use of alt alphas. I would be worried about a first time set like this one trying to run two base kits.

Hey everyone, another quick update.

I made one final change to the orange color, going from stock GMK V2 to Pantone 1505 C.
It's not a massive change but in comparison the Pantone is more saturated and vibrant, and I think it will really take advantage of GMK's ABS and will look striking on top of the grey keycaps, giving that "glowing like embers" look to the alphas that I'm looking for.

All renders have been updated. I hope you like the change!

I like these colors a lot more than Skiidata. Consider 1.5U Supers though?

In love with this set! So unique and creative. That orange on grey is exactly how I picture cinder in almost extinguished burnt coal. A little disappointed the "fireball" R4 novs don't have an orange version but still love it. 2028 can't come soon enough!

I agree, the bright orange on the alphas with the dark almost invisible legends on the mods are a bit awkward but otherwise, the colorway isn't bad.

I’m definitely in for this with at least 2 kits, a desk pad, and the HIBI artisan. This is like my perfect set. Huge FromSoft fan, huge fan of dark colors on boards, and orange is my favorite color. Can’t wait for GB launch!

Great color palette. I really like what you have going on, but I think there are a few things holding this set back a bit.

As it's presented, the orange's purpose seems to be as an accent color. So with the dark bases with the gray and black, the choice to put hiragana in the base kit and making those sublegends orange too, all-in-all ended up making my eyes ache because there's a bit too much of that bright orange being pumped into the alphas and sublegends. I would've suggested using the black do add a bit more contrast in the alphas so it's a bit easier to look at. And then with the kitting, you're making people pay more if they want less, if they want the latin alphas instead of the hiragana sublegends.

Just my thoughts, but I hope your GB does well!

+1. I typically like hirigana alphas, but I think this sets looks nicer with the mono alphas.

Ditto what others have said, prefer latin alphas in base. I'm in love with this set and was thinking to pick up 2 base kits. If latin was in base, I can buy 2 base kits and get extra hira alphas for flavor every once in a while. Since right now this is reversed, buying base kit twice would give me two hira alphas that I wouldn't really use that much, and I'd still want to pick up two latin alpha kits. That would be a lot of overspending.

I agree with many of the comments here regarding the sublegends. It seems that the orange sublegends don’t allow the alphas to really pop, though it might be too late in the process to change anything now.

I’ll definitely be watching this one for pricing, but I’m iffy on buying a base kit and then alternate alphas

I've decided to go for two base kits, since we reached enough interest and I've gotten so many requests about this since the start.
That being said, reaching MOQ for the Latin base will be riskier than for a Latin alphas child kit, so hopefully we see good support in the current GMK market.

I hope this solution satisfies everyone.
