Themed around one of my favorite chewy candies, this ePBT set is sure to spread the same joy.
It features a full dye-sub base kit, with grape-flavored alphas and strawberry mods, as well as the option to pick and choose your favorite look using the dye-sub accent kit.

Because this set uses full normal dye sub, I was allowed to kit out a relatively expansive base kit, including alice bars, ISO support, F13, among others. Additionally, due to the inclusion of alternate Hiragana alphas, I was able to cater to the 40s community by giving support to a wide range of boards such as the Planck, Preonic, and other 40s/ortho boards, simply by purchasing the alternate alphas and the 40’s kit. When these two kits are paired with the spacebar kit, which includes 2x 3u bars as well as accented alice bars and a range of 6.25/7u bars, virtually any less-than-60 percent keyboard can be kitted out without purchasing the base. Deskmat- Fruit Salad!

GB Date/Timeline

Because ePBT is redoing their reverse dye sub molds and this set uses reverse dye sub in the accent kit, it would not be possible to run this set until the molds are completed. There is no specific timeline on when these molds will be done, it could be anywhere between a couple months. We do however know that they are on the last row, meaning it should be sooner rather than later. I hope to run the set soon after the molds are completed.

Accent kit has changed to full dye sub. This is for a number of reasons. First of all, it allows the set to run without waiting on molds. Second of all, I believe that the black legends make the accents easy to pair with other WOB and BOW sets. With this, we are aiming for a GB date of early September.

Note that all renders are simply used in order to visualize the set. These colors represent the actual colors that the set will use, and may be changed slightly as development goes on in order to better capture the theme. Things like monitor calibration, compression, and room lighting can all affect the perception of the set colors.

FAQ:
Why don't you make a separate base kit with hiragana alphas?
This would eliminate the 40s support that I worked so hard to make. It might also drive up the cost of the main base kit. I also agree with the common sentiment that hiragana is overdone in the keycap world, so making it a smaller kit seemed like the best option

Pls give native Mac 7u support in the base
No, I want a cheaper base kit. There are plenty of usable keys for this in the novelty kit though, so just grab that

Fruit snacks! - I steal them from my son's stash in the kitchen and hopes no one notices.

I initially saw the fruit + chew key in the 40s kit - so I checked the base for those and ended up rereading the IC. The fact that you can nab this without full base is fantastic. It took me a little bit of time to make it click but the kitting is great for 40s peeps. Well done!

Thanks! I spent quite a bit of time with the 40s kitting and went through multiple drafts to get it in a place that I think 40s gang (which I am not yet part of) will like. Cylent and Dr. Higsby helped a ton!

Hi! I'll look over my kits and likely add the UK ISO |\ key. As for HHKB, Im opting to minimize base and instead offer 1.5u/1u/1.25u R4 novelties to fill up base.

Same green! I think just changing the legend to black print reduced how "washed out" the older one looked and made it look a bit richer.

Updates:
Pantone colors will be changing slightly, and with it, new and updated renders! The red will become a little more "ruby" red versus the almost neon red it is now. I think that this will be an easier color to match to, as well as fitting with the strawberry theme of the set. The same will happen to the lime green, for the same reasons. Purple will be getting changed ever so slightly to something more lavender- this is due to the change of the accent key legend now being black. The Pantone previously selected would have been a touch too dark for this. Kitting is basically confirmed at this point, and I have sent it to KBDFans for quotes. The only change that might happen is the addition of an ñ. This is due to the addition of Fancy Customs as a vendor for South America! More board renders will be coming very soon, as well as a confirmed group buy date, artisan, cable, and bag collabs.

Big updates today! First of all, GB Date has been set to Sep 10- October 16th! Super exciting, cant wait to see this set run. Also, all the renders have been updated to closer color match the new pantones that I have chosen. For now I have just redone kit renders, but I will be updating the board renders as well soon. Overall the changes were small enough that I think the general perception of the set will not change, so it is not of utmost priority to me to update these. Lastly, I have added full deskmat renders, which have been intentionally cast with shadows and such to make it harder fo anyone to copy the designs. See you all on Sep 10!
