Ha me too. An unexpected bonus. I'm going to be sniffing that thing like the strawberry scented market my 1st grade teacher took from me.

Hey trayke, is there any way to smoothen out any very shallow scratches? Wasn't paying attention and very lightly scratched the coating I think.

Already? You're not supposed to go scratching it so soon. That's something that's supposed to happen over years until it has that beautiful worn and weathered look!

Send me a photo and I can advise. If it's shallow you may be able to scuff it out with some steel wool.

I don't understand, why would you take it out of the specially lit display case?  :))

I just dropped 7 more wrests in the mailbox and emailed those that have theirs on the way.

My goal is to have all finished wrests mailed by the end of the week.  There were 2 wrests that I have decided to redo the finish on. It just wasn't good enough.  Unfortunately those 2 will take another week to complete and mail. My apologies.

Haha, sorry. It's super, super shallow - like, honestly, it's very difficult to capture on camera. It's practically nothing, and I'm 99% sure it's only in the finish.

You could use a piece of steel wool or a piece of 400 or 600 grit wet dry sandpaper.  If It were me I'd use the wet dry sandpaper and dip it in some water and dish soap.  While polyurethane varnish is quite tough, it will scratch so don't get toooo wild and crazy with it.

Mine arrived today, will have to get pictures later, but not sure I can do it justice.

The rest looks almost completely different depending on if viewed from the left, or right. Almost like one side is a negative of the other. Very interesting effect.

It is gorgeous and smells incredible - thank you Trayke! A bit of wobble, but not too bad. Going to try and find something thin to put under one of the corners now :)

As of this morning, all Wrests have been shipped!  Thank you everyone, this has been a very fun experience. I hope the wrests add that special extra something to your beautiful battle stations.

If you have not received any shipping information from PayPal or communication from me, please reach out to me ASAP.

I received mine today, despite the shipping info site being a little less... helpful :)

Anyways, they look better than I even hoped, and while I agree that the scent is nice, it also has quite a bit of finish in it. You guys might just be high :D

Anyways, thanks a lot, I love them, and when the glue is dry I can start putting new magnets on all my keyboards :)

Yeah, I think the Norwegian Post site had the right info all along, while the USPS site just had some incorrect info coming in.

Somewhere along the lines I got my wires crossed and may have sent an extra wrist rest to someone. Or possibly sent someone the wrong rest.  If you received a wrist rest with rounded corners in the front, please let me know. If only so I know I'm not losing my mind and didn't imagine fulfilling that special request. It's a TKL.

Received mine a while ago and finally had a chance to use it, it's beautiful and very well made (I'm in the minority and don't like the smell though haha). Thank you for the group buy, I think this may be the fastest and smoothest one I've joined here on GH!

Trayke, I just wanna drop in and say thank you for an incredible product and one of the fastest group buys I have ever seen. Here are some glory shots (I had to put giant feet under the wrist rest to suit my angle; it's not actually magically floating):

I forgot to post this from a while back. I ordered a few sheets of these adhesive non-slip pads for an another project, but it works great to stop the wobble that was occurring with the wristrest. Uses real 3M adhesive too :thumb:

I found the rest to be too low, so I ended up going with giganto stick-on furniture feet that are about 2/5 of an inch tall. Perfect height now, and looking gorgeous. :D
