Hallyu (한류 in korean) means "The Korean Wave".

It refers to the increase in global popularity of South Korean culture since the 1990s.
With this set, I wanted to pay a tribute to Korea's pop culture through :
_ hangul sublegends
_ the bright colors on a darker background to symbolise night life and party spirit, and to represent the wave with the gradient
_ different icons : each one represents one aspect of Korea and its pop culture : korean cinema and k-drama (clapperboard icon) / food (bimbap bowl icon) / k-pop music (finger heart icon) / korean alcoholic drink (bottle of soju icon) / korean beauty, skincare and makeup (eyelash icon).

100% in, but i wanted to ask, the purple is always a touchy question when it comes to color matching, have you visioned the color to be the same as in renders or it will be a bit darker? Regardles of the answer, been waiting for really long to finally jump into this.

"Pulling the plug" means preventing something from happening or shutting something down. It's a reference to what happens to an electronic device when you pull its power plug out of the power socket. In your case it would mean you decided not to get the keycaps.

It's going to be my first ever group buy and also first ever key cap set.
Brand new to MKBs. I've only ever really used a stock Ducky One 2 Mini before this.

I also ordered Zeal Sakurio switches and preordered the Glorious GMMK Pro.
Anyone know if this key cap set will be compatible with those??

Yup the keycaps should be good with the switches and the Glorious GMMK Pro.
Since it's your first build, remember to clip and lube your stabilizers for a much better experience.

It's certainly up there, but it's not the record-holder. For example:
GMK Minimal 2: RAMA Black X = 1075
GMK Pono: RAMA Dark Grey = 1398
GMK Sumi: RAMA Torii = 1640

But 1003 is without extras. We'll have to see how it does with extras.

For now, the RAL color codes are :

base kit : 290 30 20 (careful because on screen it looks wayyy lighter than it looks irl on the printed RAL color swatch, so I'll make sure that the final color looks like the render when i'll get samples from gmk !)
R1/ R4 (blue) legends : 270 70 25 knabenblau
R2 legends : 040 60 60 korallenorange
R3 legends : 050 80 30 fahlorange

Fcfs, as in-stock item or pre-order, on whichever store bought extras. There’s usually not much pizzazz around the selling of extras, so you have to keep your eyes open around the time the keysets start shipping.

Q3 this year? Lol no. They still haven’t shipped Modo light from March 2020, and they’re gonna get all the way to November in the next 3 months? I’d be surprised if this was in end users hands in the USA this year.

Edit: just got the Omni update. Modo light has shipped. GMK Modo 2 which ran last June is now for this November. This won’t even be Q1 2022.

Yeah, they don't seem to be slowing down on taking in orders while everything in the last 12 months keeps getting pushed further and further. Seems like the average wait from a groupbuy close to customer hands is reaching 1.5 years at this point.

1.5 years is really becoming a standart time for GMK, and its only gonna be worse, more sets, more time, worse qc, i have already gave up on seeing this set this year.
From now on only extras and nothing else. I think its ok to wait for a keyboard for 1.5-2 years if its needed, but not for a keycap set. GMK needs to fix their backlog.

Likely Rama caps or a deskmat if you ordered them standalone.

pretty sure it's out of the creator's hands now since color matching was completed a while ago, so at the mercy of when GMK ships it out, and then at your local vendor.

that being said, Cannon Key's last update was that they were supposed to receive the keycaps late March and that is upon us... and the lack of anyone in the EU showing the caps, seems like that timeline might be pushed back.

It would apparently be rescheduled for mid April!

Imagine my luck that I just recently got into keyboards last week. I fell in love with this keycap set the moment I saw them and was able to find an extra Base kit (yay!) but can't find any vendor with extra Soul Nights kit or any of the Brass keycaps. Such is life in this hobby it seems but I am happy with the base kit so all good. Hope everyone enjoys theirs!

First of all, welcome to the hobby! I hope you enjoy your time here. Check out SwitchKeys. They have the Seoul Nights novelties kit in stock. No luck on the brass Rama though. I hope this helps!
