Alright guys, there's been a minor QA setback that is going to push back the shipping date by a few days. The issue is being corrected and everything on track to get everything out ASAP.
I noticed rather last minute (while doing final testing and packing orders) that there is a stem defect in several of my molds that resulted in a poor fit in many of the MX keys that I had previously cast for this sale. I believe it happened due to two factors:
1. Mold release not getting into the right spots during the first few pours, resulting in a couple of decent-sized bits of silicone being torn out in the stem parts of the mold, where you can't actually see unless you go rooting around (which is how I missed it).
2. The molds that had this issue were nearing the end of their lifespan. They become harder, brittle, and more prone to tearing due to the resin sucking all of the moisture out of them over time. I just didn't expect several of them to fail all at once.
I was able to eliminate the bad molds after a careful inspection, and I will be recasting the defective keys using the exact same batches of color that were used on the originals. Note that the quality of the other keys was not compromised in any way.
After this sale, all of the molds will be retired in preparation for the upcoming v2 of the MX and WolfJaw Topre stems in response to some very helpful feedback from you guys.
I really appreciate everyone's patience with this, and I can guarantee that the keys will be ready in a few days' time. To be fair, I'm going to hold off shipping out any orders until they are all ready, so I can fully focus on getting the keys cast and finished.
