Oh. Uh, could you add the few control code sublegends that are missing? I find that I use ^[ and ^@ more than most of the ones on alphas (other than ^C, ^D, ^Z). I don't think it'll detract from the aesthetics either; in fact, I kind of like it better with the complete set of control codes present.

(missing sublegends highlighted in yellow)

Also, I see you went with HT instead of TAB for tab. Good choice, that's one that most ASCII table sites get wrong.

Edit: Forgot to add DEL.

A few more things: +1 for using Return, +2 for 1.75u Function, and would you consider using Scroll↲Lock instead of Lock so it matches the rest of lock key legends and Page↲Up, Page↲Down?

That's actually a pretty good idea to add the remaining sublegends with a 64 offset. I didn't want to add them as single keys like a novelty kit, I'll look into this approach instead!

I really dislike the asymmetry of Scroll Lock when placed between Print and Pause (making those also two-liners is even worse). I'll have to say no for now, but I understand the request.

Sweet!

Usually I'd agree 100% (I prefer one-line legends on everything), but in this particular case it's a bit different since you have Page Up and Page Down as two-liners, and the set is going for a retro vibe, with the Shift Lock and everything. Would you at least consider using Scroll instead of Lock?

Can I buy an Oblotzky season pass or will I have to order every set separately?

Extremely interesting set. My only (small) caveat would be the "Shift Lock" legend — all(*) other mods have "modern" legends, so going "back" only for the Caps Lock key strikes me as odd.

I look forward to seeing this in action.

(*) Yes, there's "Return" instead of "Enter" on both alpha-block Enter keys, but that one key has had this "dual identity" for ages, so it's not an issue. And yes, there's "Lock" instead of "Scroll Lock", but that's a different, modern defficiency (YMMV) in current sets.

Yeah, but... Pause/Break are two different commands (and Break is supposed to be front-printed, with what that entails), and "Print Screen" is a single legend (conveniently forgetting SysRq here).

Come to think of it, why are we still calling the Print Screen key, "Print Screen"? Although this WAS its original function, few people nowadays remember it, and it's been completely taken over by the screenshot/windowshot functionality. I wonder if a new legend like "Screen Capture" (or some shorter version) would be well received.

I'm not exactly sure why Micro Switch's keyboard does not feature ASCII sublegends on all alphas, I did complete it using the standard ASCII table

The sublegends on letter-keys (not all alphas) correspond to the ASCII codes that could be obtained with the Ctrl key: Ctrl-G produced an audible bell, etcetera. The few letter keys without a sublegend are those whose corresponding ASCII code already had a dedicated key and thus the Ctrl-_ combination was unnecessary to implement (namely: Ctrl-H: Backspace ⇒ Del Key; Ctrl-J: LF ⇒ LF key; Ctrl-M: CR ⇒ CR key; had a dedicated Tab key existed, the I keycap would have also lacked the ASCII "HT" sublegend).

The above said, I think your decision of adding the "missing" sublegends is for the best in this kit.

Finally a full grey monochrome set.  Thank you.

Not a fan of R0 personally.  How about an addon kit of 2B relegendables?

This is a neutral colored set. Does it make sense to split out numpad/iso into it's own kit to get cheaper base kit pricing like Minimal or 9009?

I really wish this was an SA set, those ASCII printed sub legends really remind me of the old school serial terminals I used in college, which all had SA style keys (at least in my memory)

That said, getting SA sets to production seems to be a bit challenging so totally understand the choice, and will likely join in.

Updated Kits, added Icon Modifier Kit, added Alice renders.

I am aiming for MOQ 500 on the Base Kit due to sublegend creation cost. It should roughly cost the same as GMK Crimson Cadet Base at 250 units then.

I'll ask out of abject, complete ignorance (and deal with the flack later).

Given that the bottom row is fully R5... do R5 molds for the split space bar keys already exist, or do those need to be created as well?

Spacekeys are Spacebar shaped (Convex). There is no 'R5' Spacebar.

Indeed. Also applies for the long keys (6, 6.25, 7).

Bless up for icon mods though it'll cost me another $20-30 or so.

Is the gray color in this kit the same as Oblivion's alphas? Or Space Cadet Alphas?

I'm trying to gauge what shade of gray it is.

Or is it a brand new shade of gray....

Oblivion and Cadet are both matched to Signature Plastic's GQM  ASCII is using GMK's stock color 2B.  The grey in ASCII is a lighter grey than those two sets.

Maybe no...

Y no ergo kit? (instantly regrets buying expensive "crimson" Sol 2 plate)

Space cadet colevrak was beautiful too.

Sent from my Ono-Sendai Cyberspace 7 using Tapatalk

Ergo is really hard to push to MOQ. I don't want to have vendors buy out MOQ and then have those kits sit in their warehouse forever (I still have 5 kits of GMK Calm Depths Assembly and MyKeyboard.eu still has some stock left as well). I'm staying away from odd layouts for GB's outside of Drop for the time being, sorry.

That 1.25c mold was proposed for the GMK Blanks GB back in May & it didn't reach the MOQ, so it must be very, very new.

With This being such a simple and clean Colorway set... I would bet a substantial amount of money that an ortho kit Like GMK Minimal's Would get to MOQ...or even be worth throwing into a child set.

I bought that gmk minimal kit for the 2.75 and 2.25 spacebars without any intention of ever using the other keys, I'm probably not the only one.

Does the lack of 6U spacebars for minimal inconvenience more people than the lack of Ortho kits proposed here?
