Woah, that's weird, although its kinda my vibe as sometimes I just want to use the touchscreen without the keyboard, but I hate just taking the keyboard off and forgetting about it.

Shh... Pay no attention to the lower deck, just look at how thin it looks when you can't see that!  /s

The crazier part is this laptop is 3/4in thick yet blocks them from a type A port, weighs 4 pounds, has an RTX 3050 and worse, is being promoted as a gaming laptop.
No word if it's user upgradable, but knowing MS, not likely.

The arrangement doesn't look gud..   WHY are the fans on the FRONT ? Does that not get in the way of the battery.    And arn't they now passing heat across the battery, because of the overlap of 2 zones by heat pipes..

The cooling (for GPU at least)seems to robably runs around straight to the outer edge then down to the heat sink.
The CPU looks like a heck of a distance to go, kind of an odd idea, but the heat is actually good for the SSD memory (not the controller, just the memory itself).

Bat is across the dead center and under touchpad, going to be a tad nose light with that heavy screen, also be hot at the front, you know, where your hands always touch.

M.2 NVME slot, so the drive "could" be changed, however unless this is flipped for clarity, sits on top of the mobo, meaning you would need to remove the board or keyboard/plate to reach it, good luck.

Soldered ram (bleh, just below the cpu), I prefer changeable drive than ram in theory, drive upgrades are more common, the problem is companies MASSIVELY mark up ram on purpose. Not because they can, but they do so to entice you to buy the lesser model, realize you screwed up and now need to upgrade for more (or just spend way more up front), either way, they know they got you. You can thank Apple for that idea. If you can fit an NVME drive slot you can fit a ram slot, no excuses.

Of course all of this still hinges on if you can open the stupid thing.
Ms is known to use TONS of glue, double side tape and an insane amount of screws. Well made machines, you just can't work on them. I've seen laptops without glue or tape that used half the screws as some Surface devices that still need the tape and glue.

It's Microsoft's tribute to the late Sir Clive Sinclair, because the Spectrum+ and Sinclair QL had stepped bottoms.  :-*
