18 international packages sent today for this

and i sent 3 to the uk which are on a separate receipt

so 21 total pay it forwards went out today

uk people should get theirs tomorrow but latest saturday

as a side note, about 10 of these packages i did a little research on, making sure they had the right boards etc, the other 11 are totally random, the contents of the packages vary in value, so please dont think its favouritism if you get something of a different value to someone else

I was wondering what you'd shipped for £41 for a second there

Great to see you spreading the love worldwide, and even better as the receipt gives no clue where anything's going so it will be a complete surprise!  How did it spiral from 10 to 15 to 21 packages though?  You're too kind!

i kept seeing people post nice things, and wanted to include them, particularly as people showing interest in the thread, were more likely to continue it, and its not about just what i send, but how this grows from here, and i wanted to give it the best chance to have an impact

Super cool idea. Reminds me I need to do some more giving.

yeah, i have been a bit more bitter than i would like recently, so wanted to do something fun
I didn't notice any bitterness to be honest, just answers to personal attacks. This was not really on yourself but rather caused by external causes.

You have a really good idea though. I'm quite excited to see what people will come up with. I hope everyone plays along. ;)

The cost of that converted into Canadian Dollars right now makes me cringe (also, being originally from the U.K., it makes me cry a bit  :'(  )

Good Guy Bunny.  Again.

And other comments like this - massive understatements!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

This is exactly how I feel. I can't wait to see how this plays out and all the neat things that will be forwarded along. It isn't about the price or rarity either. It is just fun to see everyone put their own spin on it. I'm so into this.  :)

Seconded or even thirded(is that even a thing ?) haha. For me with just about anything in life it's not only the end result that I enjoy but the journey getting there thats usually more then half the fun. I hope people document the process and I am really excited for everyone  :thumb:

So the [CTRL]ALT network is using data to build profiles of Geekhackers? They have our addresses, switch preferences and t-shirt sizes.... Now they send out their 'care packages' to 'keep us happy'?

WAKE UP SHEEPLE!

They are clearly trying to alter our behavioral habbits! Making a domino effect of more 'care packages' What's next? Artisans in the water supply?!!
