He told me that he bought it last August. That doesn't seem too bad. You would think Topre is for life.

I'm back from a long lurking hiatus.  I just purchased this.  A cyberpower pc Skorpion K2 rgb keyboard.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/CyberPowerPC-Skorpion-K2-RGB-Gaming-Keyboard-New-in-Box-Never-used-/163028081963?nma=true&si=xGstxG3wneWrMzqYteO5sjUILVM%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Why?  Well, I found one on shopgoodwill.com for $20 shipped, and got mad I didn't win.  So logically I went out and bought one I didn't need.  Supposedly this thing has an aluminum chassis, so I hope the quality isn't ****.

If people are interested, I'd be happy to give my impressions on it.  Normally, I'm an old school alps/buckling spring kinda guy, so this is waaaaaaaaaay out of my element.

My Prime_L keyboard arrived! Now is just the long, agonizing wait for the hotswap sockets I ordered off Taobao, and the slightly shorter wait for the switches I ordered for a handwired TKL.

Promotional version of The Legend of Dragoon. Spent a pretty penny on it, but considering their rarity, it seemed worth it. That will complete my collection too, since I now have NTSC-U, NTSC-U (Greatest Hits), NTSC-J, and PAL alongside the new promo copy.

I've got a battered IBM Model F XT on its way, which I nabbed for £41 including postage. It's also a UK Model. ;) I'll see how it works when it gets here, but replacement parts should be easy to get from Orihalcon.

i bit the bullet and ordered an ergodox ez. i have my doubts, but it isn't like i have many options. i want a symmetrical programmable non-staggered keyboard. however size is important to me because i game with a lefthanded gamepad and mouse on the right. i don't play with the keyboard. i only use it for chatting. and i don't want to play with the keyboard because that would interfere with chatting. for example, i want ctrl shift and alt to be under my index, middle, and ring fingers on the home row (i use an mmo mouse). so it helps that it's as small as possible and out of the way. i'm currently using an hhkb which fits this requirement excellently, but i'm tired of the staggered keys. i've been staring at the ergodox for weeks now and i finally convinced myself by telling myself that if i slant both halves in as close as they can get when i'm gaming that this will give me the room i want for my mouse

i got the black one with blank pbt keycaps (i love the pbt on my hhkb) and silent red switches. i have a spare keyboard with cherry reds at work sitting on my desk (company kb; not mine) and the red switches feel like crap compared to topre (it just feels like pushing on springs. i like the pop of rubber domes so long as they don't go mushy), but topre isn't an option on ergodox and i'm hoping the silent reds will be better (at least as far as noise is concerned; my hhkb is type-s). oh and i got the led lighting ^^

*sigh* keyboards are so expensive >.> because i insist on the same setup at home as at work. i was impressed with my ergodox ez and the silent red switches! i ordered another one for home ^_^

---
When I saw the default layout I was sure the first thing I would change is putting the spacebar on the right. I always use my right thumb to press space on my hhkb. The weird thing is, I'm naturally using the left spacebar now that I'm typing on this ergodox. Go figure. I even tried using my left thumb in preparation for this ergodox and just couldn't get the hang of it on my hhkb.

Here's my setup now that I brought my ergodox in to work. The second one I ordered for home is in the mail. This trackball is good--really fun to scroll with! I just wonder if I can game with it.

Sweet drone!

My first thought too :))

Although stick a solar panel on top and you could provide WiFi to the masses!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
